Is he dead or alive?

My Tarantula flipped over on it's back!
I know they do this before shedding their exoskeleton but... I had one do this and it was actually dead! So, I am nervous.

He's molting, I don't have any tarantulas but from my knowledge

I’m no expert but from my knowledge they molt on their backs and die face down with lags curled in wards I have 5 tarantulas
