Still a great job..A little shaking of your hand but you didn't panic..You have basically the same jeep as I do..I only have a 2.5 in and 33s but Yokohama Geolander MT.Will be upgrading after seeing this..Great video.
Nice job you two!!! Kevin your next upgrade needs to be at least a rear locker!!! That slip was scary AF 😳 I thought you were gonna wipe out the passenger side of ur Jeep 😅
Awesome! Good luck to you, brother. O4lo (Overlanding) Core group will be in Moab this weekend. Say, Hi, when you see them (mix rigs Toyota and some Jeeps), I'll be expecting your video. I want to get an update, I was very inexperienced when I did this trail back then.
So awesome!! If you weren’t worried I would be concerned. Mad respect for the effort and balls you had to take this on. I’m a few days out for my 1st ride in Moab. Hope I can do it with as much grace as you.
Great video....new Jeeper here headed to CO/Moab next week (with experienced jeeping people)....not sure if we're planning Hells Revenge but your video gives me inspiration to try it if we do!!!
This are awesome rigs, the desert rated performs excellent in the desert here in Qatar. Bagong igan po, stay safe always. Keep sharing your nice vlogs.
Great video but please, please get some recovery points on your front and rear bumpers. A metal winch hook around an open tow hook is a recipe for disaster. At the very least throw a winch line damper so the winch hook doesn't become a deadly projectile.
Thanks Craig for watching! That was a year ago. I learned alot since then. I have steel bumpers with recovery points and invested alot on recovery gears.. took some classes too. I might re-attempt hells gate this November.
@@O4lo - that's great to hear. I checked out some of your other content - looks like we wheel in a lot of the same places. Maybe I'll see you out on the trail someday.
Enjoyed the video. Nice attempt on Hells Revenge!! Lockers or no, need to stay more to the high right side. Other rigs, with lockers, dump down it in that same area. It would have been nice to see the video from outside, during the slip down from the high RHS. From the inside view it looks like you made a sharp turn to the left, away from the high right side, just before the slide down. Maybe the steering got pushed that way and the one handed wheeling wasn't enough to stop it? You remind me to get a clip for my radio!
I like that tow hook slider, where did he find those? (if someone hasn't already asked lol) I'll be taking my JT Rubicon to Moab this spring, looking forward to it.

@@O4lo Cool thanks, lol, I also realized upon rewatching it you already mentioned where it was from, so I felt a bit silly lol. But at the moment we are thinking Poison Spider, Hells Revenge, Fins and Things, and Seven Mile Rim. I wanted to do the Golden Spike loop but my JT isn't quite up to that level yet.
Yup that's a big no no (driving with one hand), I admit that was wrong on my part lol. I want a do over but this time with lockers and both hands lol. Thanks for watching
You are killing me, watching you hold the radio as you went up. Strap it above your head on roll bar. Listen, don’t talk. More concentration on what your vehicle is doing under you. Your tires look like they have too much air. Thirdly, you should have watched a few more vids on that climb. Your tires needed to be higher on the Rt wall going up., more lean to drivers side. Other than that, it’s nice to see that you didn’t panic. Good speed. Maybe you did better spotting than your buddy.
Thanks for watching brother! I'll do a better job next time lol. I aired down to 12psi, can I air down more? Even I'm not on beadlocks? I thought I watched enough videos. 🤣🤣 I'm going to do it again soon. Hopefully better results.
@@O4lo yep. With 35s you can go down to about 8psi easily with stock rubi 7 inch wide rims without worry. Narrow rims are a poor man’s headlocks” my previous stock 33” KO2s on Rubi 7 inch rims, I went down to 11 psi. I have 35” Mickey Thompson Baja Boss ATs on 9 inch wide rims. I have gone down to 9 psi. They are 12.8 inches wide. The other thing I realized. You have a Sahara, you really need to regear your diffs with 35s if you are doing challenging trails. That may have played a factor. A good time to do it is when you go get your locker/s. Good luck. Keep wheeling
Thanks brother! Yes I regeared to 5.13 and add some E-lockers, as well truss both front and rear. Good to know about tite pressure.. I always afraid to go down 10psi.
Funny, watch enough RUclips vids on wheeling, equipment, tires, adventures and failures, you get a good idea of of what works and what doesn’t. Curious what the load rating of your tires are? Not much bulge for 12 psi. We’re they load range E or F?
The part of the video I watched was pretty cool. But after about the 5th time I saw your "subscribe" logo pop up, I had had enough. We get it already and there is a RED subscribe button already on the page. IJS

lockers or not you shoulda stayed up on the straddle when the spotter said turn driver it was a bad call.
Those tires have plenty of grip for slick rock. The problem was driver error and the lack of at least one locker
100% true it was my error.
Deflating your tire more would have greatly helped your traction issue. Nice video. Glad you survived it.
Thank you bro! Yes I have my tires on
12 psi, it rained hard the night before. Will definitely do this obstacle again.
12 psi is the limit without bead locks. I run 15 psi. Do not go below 12 psi otherwise you will break a bead 100%
Put the radio down and 2 hands on the wheel.
Lockers before Moab. Rule #1
🤣🤣🤣 just bad lines on my behalf lol. I'll try again.
@@O4lo Lockers before Moab Rule #2
Great video and props to you for giving it hell! I think the entrance to Hells Gate is more spooky than the actual climb! 😂
Thanks brother! I wasn't expecting the baby hell gate entrance lol
@@O4lo I know right? First time I went down it I was like what in the heck
Did this in a stock JTR will forever brag... it's going in next week to get 3" and 37s may be time to go back and see how much easier it is
Awesome bro! It will be alot easier going up on that setup. I'm getting a new lift and tires soon.

BILLY!!! yes bro Rear Locker would help out alot! Maybe a camera for my tires too 🤔 😅.
Awesome vid! Nipo’s Gladiator is a beast. Give you guys props for even trying hells gate.
Yes a total beast lol... hells Revenge like nothing.
Awesome video. I recently bought a 2015 JKU Sahara to take out for fun.
After watching many videos like this, I think a front locker is in my future.
Two hands on the wheel at all times. Just listen to your spotter, no need to communicate back.
Nicely done with the video. Makes me feel, I’m there and not just watching a video from my phone.
Thanks for watching bro and nice meeting you finally in person hahaha.
@@O4lo Definitely, it was great meeting you and everyone.
Step one: install lockers. Step two: air down. Step three: pick a good line and allow the rig to work.
