- Nightmare on Hell's Revenge| Jeep JK and Jeep JT Rubicon |Moab Utah Adventure Part 2
In today's episode, watch how me and Nipoj did on Hell's Revenge
and the troubles I had on Hell's Gate. This is also our 3rd Jeep Badge of Honor Trail.
Hell's Revenge consists of very steep uphill and descent and it's a very technical trail.
Trails offroad rate this trail 6-8 as extremely difficult trail. The trail condition is slippery, wet and muddy.

Two hands on the wheel at all times. Just listen to your spotter, no need to communicate back.
Deflating your tire more would have greatly helped your traction issue. Nice video. Glad you survived it.
Thank you bro! Yes I have my tires on
12 psi, it rained hard the night before. Will definitely do this obstacle again.
12 psi is the limit without bead locks. I run 15 psi. Do not go below 12 psi otherwise you will break a bead 100%
Great video and props to you for giving it hell! I think the entrance to Hells Gate is more spooky than the actual climb! 😂
Thanks brother! I wasn't expecting the baby hell gate entrance lol
@@O4lo I know right? First time I went down it I was like what in the heck
Those tires have plenty of grip for slick rock. The problem was driver error and the lack of at least one locker
100% true it was my error.
Awesome video. I recently bought a 2015 JKU Sahara to take out for fun.
After watching many videos like this, I think a front locker is in my future.
Nice!! thanks for the very informative video brotha! We while be hitting this trail this weekend! Wish us luck!
Awesome! Good luck to you, brother. O4lo (Overlanding) Core group will be in Moab this weekend. Say, Hi, when you see them (mix rigs Toyota and some Jeeps), I'll be expecting your video. I want to get an update, I was very inexperienced when I did this trail back then.
Great Job guys, Someday we will come back to conquer the rest of the obstacles. Gad dang!
We will bro! I think you should come with us and cook us trail food. ❤❤
Awesome vid! Nipo’s Gladiator is a beast. Give you guys props for even trying hells gate.
Yes a total beast lol... hells Revenge like nothing.
So awesome!! If you weren’t worried I would be concerned. Mad respect for the effort and balls you had to take this on.
I’m a few days out for my 1st ride in Moab. Hope I can do it with as much grace as you.
Yes I was! Lol.. I want to go back maybe around Novemver. I'm so excited for you! Have fun and let me know all the trails you guys end up doing.
Love the spec sheets! So many like myself watch to see what our Jeeps can do, and more importantly what they can do with certain mods! Well done!
Thank you bro! Trying to share what out jeep can do with out current mods. When I did Hells revenge.. I only have lift and tires.
@@O4lo and a good spotter! I feel like every Jeep is a puzzle with different pieces in each box. Having a blast with it
Hey I am impressed thanks for the footage it was fun watching
Thank you brother!
Nice job you two!!!
Kevin your next upgrade needs to be at least a rear locker!!! That slip was scary AF 😳 I thought you were gonna wipe out the passenger side of ur Jeep 😅
BILLY!!! yes bro Rear Locker would help out alot! Maybe a camera for my tires too 🤔 😅.
Still a great job..A little shaking of your hand but you didn't panic..You have basically the same jeep as I do..I only have a 2.5 in and 33s but Yokohama Geolander MT.Will be upgrading after seeing this..Great video.
Thank you! Lol yes sweaty palms and you're right trying to keep myself calm, definitely upgrading after this 🤣🤣
@@O4lo I'm looking to go at least 4in lift but only put 35s on.I will stay with the Yokohama Geolander 003 MTs.They have been amazing.
Put the radio down and 2 hands on the wheel.
Nicely done with the video. Makes me feel, I’m there and not just watching a video from my phone.
Thanks for watching bro and nice meeting you finally in person hahaha.
@@O4lo Definitely, it was great meeting you and everyone.
Hella scary! What an accomplishment though, congrats!
Yes bro! Very Scary hahaha
Great video....new Jeeper here headed to CO/Moab next week (with experienced jeeping people)....not sure if we're planning Hells Revenge but your video gives me inspiration to try it if we do!!!
Awesome bro! Hope you have blast! Hells revenge is a must a bro.
Awesome job guys!! Looks like a blast!!!
Thanks brother!!
You're coming with us next time!
Nice job, very nice.
Lockers before Moab. Rule #1
🤣🤣🤣 just bad lines on my behalf lol. I'll try again.
lockers or not you shoulda stayed up on the straddle when the spotter said turn driver it was a bad call.
Great video! Have ran this trail. Not the hardest. But has some tricky spots.
I agree with you on that brother lol. Thanks for watching!
Lockers would of helped. This is a trail I would like to conquer some day. Great job, and awesome video. You got yourself a new subscriber.
Thanks for watching! Planning to return here once I have my lockers. "Revenge on Hell's Gate." lol
Just watched a bunch of different 4x4s on RUclips that did it without lockers. Helpful but not needed.
Watch Trail Mater, he has backed up that hill.
I can see how difficult it is even though i dont know how to drive, so risky enjoy and be careful guys
Hi ate Gems! Thanks for watching!
gotta keep 2 hands on the steering wheel.. especially on those hard courses. great video!
10-4 lol one of my mistakes. Thanks for watching brother.
Nope, nope, nope. LOL! This is hectic! Yeah everything is easy compared to this for you two. “Too steep? That’s a negative for me” haha
What?! The Disco can make it up here. Who's going to rescue me when I get stuck lol
Great video!
Thank you!!!
This are awesome rigs, the desert rated performs excellent in the desert here in Qatar. Bagong igan po, stay safe always. Keep sharing your nice vlogs.
Swabe! Ang galing sir! Where do you guys post your trail trips. I live in LA I wanna join you guys on the next one..
Thank you for watching! Yes we post put events on a private Facebook page (Overland 4lo)
Did this in a stock JTR will forever brag... it's going in next week to get 3" and 37s may be time to go back and see how much easier it is
Awesome bro! It will be alot easier going up on that setup. I'm getting a new lift and tires soon.
Attempted Holy Cross in high school, back when you could still buy a new YJ!
You gotta use momentum. Seems like your stopping before the obstacle and trying to climb it
You mess with the bull enough, and eventually you'll get the HORN!!!
Nice job. I may have missed it did you air down? Your tires looks super solid I would drop them low,8-12psi is where we wheel in sand and rock.
I aired down to 12psi. Thanks for watching bro! re-attemp hells revenge soon.
Step one: install lockers. Step two: air down. Step three: pick a good line and allow the rig to work.
Nice video but breath taking 👌
Thank you!
Enjoyed the video. Nice attempt on Hells Revenge!! Lockers or no, need to stay more to the high right side. Other rigs, with lockers, dump down it in that same area. It would have been nice to see the video from outside, during the slip down from the high RHS. From the inside view it looks like you made a sharp turn to the left, away from the high right side, just before the slide down. Maybe the steering got pushed that way and the one handed wheeling wasn't enough to stop it? You remind me to get a clip for my radio!
Hi Paul, Thank You for watching! Yes definitely thoes are my mistakes hahaha! I hope that I don't make the same mistake next time.
Hey you had enough guts to go up there I see a lot of high dollar mall crawlers in this neck of the woods.
Thank you for watching! Gotta drive what it's meant for hahaha... if I break something then I'll buy better parts.
wow heavy duty trail. Where did Nipoj put his tent? Ouch! Now I need to think about getting Ko2 or KM3. Great job.
Ric... I think you would made it up with no problem lol at all.
@@O4lo I have 33s same tire as Nipoj his are 35s but they are MTs not AT.
Rich, your Falcon Wildpeak MT's are the same as mine--you'd make it up just fine.
@@4122inc I plan on going 35" when these wearout. Trying to decide KO 2 or KM3.
I like that tow hook slider, where did he find those? (if someone hasn't already asked lol) I'll be taking my JT Rubicon to Moab this spring, looking forward to it.
Hello! Thanks for watching!
I've been wanting to go back to MOAB.
Which trails are you going to do?

@@O4lo Cool thanks, lol, I also realized upon rewatching it you already mentioned where it was from, so I felt a bit silly lol. But at the moment we are thinking Poison Spider, Hells Revenge, Fins and Things, and Seven Mile Rim. I wanted to do the Golden Spike loop but my JT isn't quite up to that level yet.
Great video but please, please get some recovery points on your front and rear bumpers. A metal winch hook around an open tow hook is a recipe for disaster. At the very least throw a winch line damper so the winch hook doesn't become a deadly projectile.
Thanks Craig for watching! That was a year ago. I learned alot since then. I have steel bumpers with recovery points and invested alot on recovery gears.. took some classes too. I might re-attempt hells gate this November.
@@O4lo - that's great to hear. I checked out some of your other content - looks like we wheel in a lot of the same places. Maybe I'll see you out on the trail someday.
Balsey to try it without lockers
Ohhhhh buddy…. More then capable car easy obstacle that way less setup cars have done… driver error is a hell of a drug 😂
I agree, brother! There is plenty of driver error here! Lol I was inexperienced
🤩
No one ever shows the down hill of Hells Gate. It's nuts!
Thanks bro for watching! Yea it's scarier in person hahaha! Planning to go back and redeemed myself.
What degrees did you get to on the intro down and on hells gate?
Sorry brother! I was nervous forgot to check lol.
Im against on one hand, just listen to radio not communicating lol..nice video anyway ❤❤🇵🇭
Oh yea plenty of drivers error here. Lol
@@O4lo that’s ok lol..! Im jealous daming trail sa West coast kaysa dto sa East coast
Were you guys out on Chicken Corners about 2 weeks ago?
Some of my friends were in Moab about that time frame, just not sure if they went to Chicken Corners.
Hells Gate, no lockers and driving with one hand ...
Yup that's a big no no (driving with one hand), I admit that was wrong on my part lol. I want a do over but this time with lockers and both hands lol. Thanks for watching
Mga pinoy pla po kayo. Very nice po❤❤
Hahaha yes! Mga pinoy kami!
What pressure were your tires at? It seemed like you had a lot of slip going up.
12 psi non beadlocks, trail is wet
@@O4lo ah, that explains a lot! Been there twice, the second trip we turned around because a huge storm was heading our way. If you ever visit North Texas we have a badge trail near Dallas. Find me at the Soft Roaders on FB and I can give you a tour.
That would be awesome! I have family at Dallas. I will look for your group and also subscribe to your channel.
I see two groups (soft roaders Texas or just soft roaders)
@@O4lo they’re the same, the Texas group is more for locals and local events
Time for some lockers
I agree bro 😅
The part of the video I watched was pretty cool. But after about the 5th time I saw your "subscribe" logo pop up, I had had enough. We get it already and there is a RED subscribe button already on the page. IJS
Hey brother! I'm still learning about this RUclips. I really appreciate you for letting me know this. thank you!
You are killing me, watching you hold the radio as you went up. Strap it above your head on roll bar. Listen, don’t talk. More concentration on what your vehicle is doing under you.
Your tires look like they have too much air.
Thirdly, you should have watched a few more vids on that climb. Your tires needed to be higher on the Rt wall going up., more lean to drivers side.
Other than that, it’s nice to see that you didn’t panic. Good speed. Maybe you did better spotting than your buddy.
Thanks for watching brother! I'll do a better job next time lol. I aired down to 12psi, can I air down more? Even I'm not on beadlocks? I thought I watched enough videos. 🤣🤣 I'm going to do it again soon. Hopefully better results.
@@O4lo yep. With 35s you can go down to about 8psi easily with stock rubi 7 inch wide rims without worry. Narrow rims are a poor man’s headlocks” my previous stock 33” KO2s on Rubi 7 inch rims, I went down to 11 psi. I have 35” Mickey Thompson Baja Boss ATs on 9 inch wide rims. I have gone down to 9 psi. They are 12.8 inches wide.
The other thing I realized. You have a Sahara, you really need to regear your diffs with 35s if you are doing challenging trails. That may have played a factor. A good time to do it is when you go get your locker/s.
Good luck. Keep wheeling
Thanks brother! Yes I regeared to 5.13 and add some E-lockers, as well truss both front and rear. Good to know about tite pressure.. I always afraid to go down 10psi.
@@O4lo Nice.
Funny, watch enough RUclips vids on wheeling, equipment, tires, adventures and failures, you get a good idea of of what works and what doesn’t.
Curious what the load rating of your tires are? Not much bulge for 12 psi. We’re they load range E or F?
You need lockers.
Got them already sir! I will re-attempt it soon. Honestly I think I was just inexperience when I first tried it.
Great Offroad skills. You handled it very well.🤣I do run a overland product review channel check it out is you get a chance.
10-4 will check it out 👍
