Man, this making me realize the only thing I know about Artifact is that disappointed crowd announcement video with the sad sigh. I just kind of never heard about it after that. A little tragic.
Game died coz of pay2win mechanic, volvo ruined game by being greedy, my favorite card game specially because i was playing e -sport in dota/dota 2 - in top players, tours, lans etc (besides few other games/genres where i did compete and have european and world titles) Sad to watch the game like this :(
@@alejandromoguel5739 also the game itself was not free, and you can even say expensive, unlike other tcg, and to pay more for each card, for each draft - of course it was a failed approach. but when the game failed - they made it free... a perfect example of how terrible management kills a great game
IMO these games need Players to get attached to a set of favorite cards they can relate to, if everything seems too generic i personaly loose my interest rather quickly.
@@SurreyEZ one of my friends plays drafts regularly and I play sometimes too, it's not all that bad with the queue, just apparently depends on the time of day. In fact, thanks to the unique mechanics the game still lives on, even though the developers have made every effort to the opposite
@@SurreyEZ I know this video didn't get many views compared to the Mechabellum stuff. But some more Artifact content would be awesome. I miss this game.

It wasn't that much of greed as misunderstanding the tcg market, the pricing makes sense as a tcg but it was to aggressive for new player's to surge.

@@mem_cs you payed for the game - its fine, but you also had to buy cards in the game, and some cards had higher price than game...
