This is one of if not the best favorite TxL series. Its literally what could've happened after HTTYD 3. The animation, story line, and characters are all perfect. Keep up the amazing work! 1:23 :(((
I absolutely adore the movement and style in the first 50 seconds of animation! I can tell you spent so long polishing the lineart and shading! I can’t imagine how long that took you. I especially enjoyed the sound design. You have a wonderful sense of pacing, and you’re very attuned to timing the shots with the music beats. You also do a great job of keeping interest between scenes, every camera angle was unique and eye catching. I especially liked the top view of toothlesse’s walk cycle. I loved the soft lineless style and palettes at 1:06 . The flashback offers a lot of closure and acknowledgement to toothless’ past in such an effective way. Also, toothless’ line of action at 1:16 is phenomenal. The way his head is arched and his wings are unfurling looks so striking, and it frames the bewilderbeast below well :). You clearly have a great understanding of the anatomy of the elder’s claw at 0:27 . One suggestion I would make is to focus more on creating keyframes that have a lot more anatomical detail, rather than being concerned over subtle movements. Creating inbetweens takes a looot of time, and I think having less frames, and more detailed stills might be helpful in keeping a consistent style. Try not to burn yourself out when completing this project! This is such a huge undertaking, and I’d honestly be happy with just an animatic haha. Keep up the amazing work :3
