I've been a fan of Big Country since their heyday in the 80s. Nice to see someone paying tribute to them in a cover, but it lacks their spirit. Kinda wished they'd punched it up a few more notches.
I like it. Is the original better? ooh yeah, by a lot. It's not close. This version is still good on its own without having to compare it to Big Country's version. Now, if you excuse me, I'm going to re-watch the original video. Stay Alive...
Thank you SO MUCH for putting this up! Do you also have The Mowgli's cover of You Make My Dreams Come True that was only exclusively available on the same vinyl?
The original feels so intimate. This ones about as intimate as a dance club

Thanks for putting this up so I could hear it! Some of us don't have record players.
The Carrie Diaries brought me here and I like it.
Me too
How come this one doesn't have more recognition? Genius cover!
Moe. has the best cove of this song in my opinion

When artists are covering this song shows the administration of the original version
Not as good as the original but I love it.
I agree with you.
Who's the original?
Bryan Camacho
Big Country.
+Bryan Camacho, the band is called In A Big County. the song is from 1983
Pat on the back for having a go , at a song that is way beyond 99.9% of bands, however, it totally lacks the whole backbone of the song, emotion.
Not as good as the original version, but it's still a catchy song by A/A by far.
This is okay, I guess. Drums by Mark Brzezicki are SORELY missed. Nice try, though.
And the guitars?
Meh. Also, I should've pointed out the bagpipes-effect is even more lacking than the fake drums.
OMG. Why?
They do the song justice for sure!
really?
Wasn't there a female singer who sings this too?
This is a cover but idk who sang it originally.
Brogan McLeod That's pretty funny actually
Does this song really sound this way? It's quite hurtful to the ear. Or is that just the quality?
+Kaizer Allen RUclips the original... This pales in comparison to Big Country's version.
Almost as good as the original.
My ears are bleeding, please let it stop
Their 'sha!'ing is most impressive.
The original 1983 by big country is better
It has to be said. This version really sucks when compared to the original. It's horrible.
Agreed!
I wouldn't say it's horrible, but the original is so good anything else just sounds like crap.
@@jwitt513 it's bad to say it, but this cover is really bad, the band Face to Face did a great job paying tribute to the song
Hacksaw Wolf yeah I like their version
This version is mediocre. I like Dashboard's better. The original is always the best.
Not very good
Uh... no. This isn’t half as good as the original. They tried, I guess...
I mean I'm a big fan of A/A but this is just, horrible
Good grief. awful
Horrible cover
That sucks.
