That last wild foul layup was quite possibly one of the most insane shots I've ever seen. The man was just on another level. His highlight reels will amaze me till the day I die. I'm fortunate that I got to see him play live once in Milwaukee where he put up 40. GOAT no doubt about it.
Did you see the quickness, the footwork, defense, efficiency, the hustle, the grace in his game..tongue out, shoes, style everything. Pure master at this sport
It's the all around game that he showed this night that always made me shake my head at how good MJ was at 35. Sure he amazed everyone with all the circus shots and plays, and the old school Jordan 1's on, but if you look... hes everywhere on the court. There's highlights where you see him getting defensive and offensive rebounds, put backs, shutting people down on D, assists, steals... literally just doing it all. Incredible talent.
I'm literally watching this over the current nba playoffs. This regular season game from 35 years ago is more exciting than the current games. So lucky I got to see the GOAT play most of his career. Thankfully youtube exists to show my son when he's older.
In the last dance he said his socks were SOAKED in blood after the game ended and he took them off. That's true love of the game and love of the culture. I can't name a player today that would do something like this.
@@juanborges8192 - they make size 14 Jordan 1’s. This is all BS just like the bs that he and Isiah are enemies when at the 4:35 mark Isiah talks about how he and MJ went to dinner the night before. Also, MJ didn’t have the flu that one game, it was food poisoning. He was not as sick as he sold us. Lots of BS.
yeah i know but everywhere mj would go, fans really appreciate him, miami even retired his number, imagine that no miami player would ever wear the the number 23 jersey.
I used to hate MJ back then, because EVERYONE was wearing a Jordan jersey. I always was a fan of the underdogs, mid-90’s Lakers was my team. You know, Eddie Jones, Nick Van Exel. But yeah, there will never be another Jordan. Truly the GOAT.
WOW! At 14:13, when he made that steal and had the touch to do a lob pass as an outlet for the fast break, with his right hand, while leaning left and running out of bounds. I don’t think many people can appreciate how incredible that kind of power and precision is. That play involved a level of athletics that few in history will ever possess. And he made it look so routine. You can’t practice that play.
Also the court looked really nice. Seeing the orange/blue paint is better than the all blue nowadays. And also the organs were so much better back then. It made MSG feel some type of way.
There's something so badass about the way MJ grabs rebounds one handed or the ball fake or even when he goes to dunk and just grabs it like a tennis ball and has the arm stretched out
Every basketball court seems to be MJ's biggest stage because he made it his business to show the fans that he Was / IS a"real" basketball player.... One of a kind, he was/is...🍀
Just watching this game, and hearing what Jordan said about his feet bleeding in ‘The last dance’ throughout this game, it’s crazy he played as well as he did considering having bloodied feet
I love the video, the comments by the analysts and the play. I like modern day ball as well... but... at the end of it all the ball has to go in the bucket and then you have to stop the other team... no body does the full package better than Jordan. If not Jordan than Kareem or Wilt. So many amazing and skillfull basketball players over the years. They all had bad days and good days and amazing days... but when your bad days are better than anothers good and amazing days and when all your greats of an era who woukd be great in another era all gwt shut down or beat bybthe GOAT and his team over and over amd you are the juggernaught... then... your the G.O.A.T.! Jordan was certainly great
Love how he would challenge himself and everyone around him and even the crowd knew they were invited to a performance. MJ would promise you the highest level of basketball every night and challenge his rivals openly to try to stop him but by mid game they were caught watching as fans as he would continue to destroy anything in front of him.
You're absolutely right! MJ said that his socks were covered in blood at the end of the game because of the blisters on his feet because the shoes didn't fit the same as when he first wore them... That's tough/savage!
Love it. I think I read or saw somewhere that his feet were destroyed after wearing these Retro 1s for the entire game. Anyway, this is back when the NBA style and fashion was a lot more simple and basic, yet flashy. Sneakers had to either be all white or all black, or match the team colors and the entire team had to wear the same colors. Home teams wore white jerseys and away teams wore the dark colors and there was only one logo on the court for the respective team. Nowadays, each team has 47 different jersey combinations and you spend 3 quarters trying to figure out who is the home and away team. The home court is painted with 1,298 different colors and designs and you don't recognize what team it is. Players wear more gear than NFL players, undershirts (players claim its for medical purposes) and full length spandex are allowed and can be whatever color, and players wear bright pink sneakers when their team is the Celtics and bright green sneakers when their team is the Bulls. Mind-boggling. Yeah, I'm super old school and like things more simple for sure.

Michael Jordan is incredible! he stops the other team from scoring a 2 or 3 pointer by stealing the ball and then he takes the ball the other way and scores the basket and collects the and-1 free throw,.. That means when he plays his style of defense, he almost guarantees his Team 4-6 points every other possession.... Something to think about....👍
I was alive to see PRIME Bird, Magic, MJ, Kobe, (Georgetown/Sixers), Nique, Kemp, Shaq at LSU/Magic/Lakers, Penny, Hakeem, Robinson, Barkley, Rodman, etc...I'm very thankful to be alive during the 80s and 90s. Michael Jordan was the greatest basketball player that I have ever watched.
What's unique about this great memory is listening to Isiah Thomas praising MJ and no one caught at about the 4:38 mark, Zeke talks about having dinner with MJ but the 2 claim to hate each other so much.
I was looking for a comment like this.
