"Born of God" is one of my favorite President Benson talks (October 1985). I refer to it often! I love the line that Grace referred to: "Yes, Christ changes men, and changed men can change the world!"

Another fantastic lesson. As someone who has watched from the first year of "David and Emily" (and didn't think your lessons could get any better) you two teach so beautifully together. Thank you for putting so much time and effort into sharing your insights. Every week is my favorite week! :)

Grace - she was an angel and the test was to see what you'd do.
I testify that those moments happen - what more can we do than assist a homeless person?
SOOOOO blessed to have heard this treasure story!!
You passed THAT test that day!! ❤ Way to go!!

The things that were taught by king Bengamin to gain salvation (beleive and repent) are not what is taught today in the church teaches today (go to the temple and keep covenants) to gain salvation.
Why is what's necessary for salvation changing?

I like your question! It made me search a little deeper in these verses. Note Mosiah 5:8 "I would that you should take upon you the name of Christ, all you that have entered into the covenant with God that ye should be obedient unto the end of your lives." Our covenants including those of baptism and those entered into within the temple, are demonstrations of our commitment and devotion to our Savior. Also in Mosiah 6:1 they wrote down the names of those who had entered into a covenant with God and had taken upon them the name of Christ. In Mosiah 7:17 the people gathered to the temple. The temple was a part of the faith of this covenant making people.

I love Emily too, she’s absolutely wonderful.
But I’m glad her care and talents get to reach the people they do in her calling right now.
And I’ve just fallen in love with Grace’s enthusiasm, passion and sweet spirit.
Plus she’s closer to my age and I relate to her a ton which makes her perspective all the more valuable to me.

I've always been fascinated by the fact that "they all cried with one voice" How did they do that?🤔 Was it a phrase that they had previously known and were repeating?🤷‍♀️ Any thought?🤔

Dude! Really?! I’m sorry - new here - first time… LISTENING to this while getting read, was great without watching it.
But when I heard him say “..sorry to interrupt again…” it caught my attention, so I went back and WATCHED the first 16 minutes -instead of just listening.
Dude… The body language…Interrupting ..talking too long without a break or interaction with partner ..fidgeting while she’s talking, …your response to her point,
“… mmm yeah! anyways…”“ constant nodding that looks like fake interest, not looking at her WHILE she’s making a point… on your PHONE?!?🤦🏻‍♀️🤣😆 typing some thing… just as your section is over she begins to start talking and then you bring up the split page again and interject a one minute monologue…
I’m sure you’re a very nice person, and I’m sorry to rake you over the coals… But come on… the dismissiveness and disconnect between you & her?! … you gotta connect a little more. 😆
is difficult to watch- I just can’t - just saying 🥴

I didn’t get that at all. If he interrupted he constantly apologized. I see him high lighting and marking things when Grace teaches as he is also likely learning from Grace just as much as she learning from him. I think they’re both great teachers who have a desire to help others in their daily walk with the savior. Thank you for your passion for teaching and helping others and for sharing your talent for teaching!

I actually love watching these 2 good friends have a conversation about Jesus and then sharing it with all of us. It’s how my closest friends and I get - interrupting and talking over each other sometimes because we get so excited about something. I love their quirks and their passion and humility, and how they always remind me that the gospel is so real. So applicable. To each, their own, but I just love them and I’m forever grateful for how much they share of themselves.

I think you need to watch them more to appreciate their dynamic. They have been friends-actually more like family, for many years and are very comfortable with each other.
