He was bullied for being bisexual. No matter what his achievements were he was harassed, it's extremely sad :(

He announced his same-sex relationship with his childhood friend Daffy Tong Hok-tak (唐鶴德) during a concert in 1997, earning him prestige in LGBT communities in China, Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.[33] His relationship with Daffy lasted for almost 20 years until his death in 2003.
@@redneckscumbags4422 It was the Hong Kong press that was giving him hell, ever since the concert in 1997. I think it was on the Red Shoes tour, when he came out. His fans stayed true. As did his partner of many years. The press literaly blocked the entrance to his home. He wasn't able to get in and out doc. appoinments, or to purchase his meds. Yes, he had clinical depression. The harassement was the straw that broke the camels back.
