Honorable Professor there is no doubt that on youtube there is somone whom can match you, all are very good and we pray for all but you are an extraordinary Piece, God bless you honorable, stay safe and long, ameen

Indeed humbled and honored by your compliments. Thanks
Thank you so much, this has helped me forward with my research after a 2 year break and not feeling secure about my knowledge anymore. Really appreciate your explanation!
Thanks for watching.
It is a very clear and step-by-step logical explanation and practice. Thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
Very clear, helpful and crystal clear explanation.
Thank you for your brief explanation
You are welcome!
Professor, you are the best in the field
Thank you. I am glad you liked it.
بارك الله فيكم و جزاكم بعملكم خير الجزاء

Thank you sir, it was really beneficial. Stay blessed
Thanks. I m glad you liked it.
@@researchwithfawad sir can we apply Factor Analysis on sample size of 300 for the development of scale?. And can I get your mail so I can send you my proposal and discuss it with you a few things please?
Hello, thank you for your video! Instead of removing RD2, if there was a theoretical fit with another factor could you move it instead of removing it?
Thanks for watching. Yes it could have been moved if there was theoretical support.
Thank you sir. It is really helpful and informative for me
Most welcome. Please do circulate in your research circle.
Thank you for this very informative video
Thanks. I am glad you liked it
wow! this was really clear! thank you so much!!!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for the video. Is it possible that the eliminated factors have their own independent impact to the particular concept.
Pleasure. Yes itnis possible but we have to delete if they do not perform well.
Excellent 👌
Thanks for watching
Thank you so much Sir for this video. If you have adopted items from the same source for each construct and not different ones, do we still need to perform EFA?
No, there is no need for EFA.
Thank you Sir.
Many say that PCA is not EFA. I'm curious to hear your thoughts on this.
In statistics you will hear different opinions, since we are not from pure statistics and use statistics for supporting our findings, i would say i will go with people who use PCA for EFA and you will find 100s of papers that do it published in good quality journals.
Hello Prof, thanks for this valuable video, you are the best!
I need help with one question please urgent, if my study contains 3 constructs ( project success 8 questions, scope creep 28 Questions, scope creep best practices 11 questions ) should I run EFA for each construct separately to investigate the underlying dimensions or all together?
Thanks for watching. Why would you run EFA? Run EFA only if you have self-developed the questionnaire.
@@researchwithfawad thank you very much Dr for your response, all the questionnaire (items )were mentioned in previous studies. For example the 28 scope creep indicators were taken from 9 studies, in other words, I didn't take a full-Ready scale because the topic is new and only two studies conducted an EFA and with different dimensions!
In this case is there a need to conduct EFA?
Sir, how about the Parallel Analysis criteria by Monte Carlo in determining the factors to be retained???
Sorry but haven't worked on that yet.
This vedio really excellent to learn.thank u.Another thing is that may I get the data that is used here if possible
Thanks. I am glad you liked it. You may email me on kh.fawad83@gmail.com for sample data.
Sir if we take different dimensions from different authors to measure a construct and form a questionnaire than we will use Efa or cfa?
In my opinion, No, no need to go for EFA.
@@researchwithfawad ok thank you sir
Then which technique should I use to check perception in this regard
You may use SEM based software like AMOS, SmartPLS
Aoa Sir. I have an urgent question, what if the communality of one factor (suppose GC5) is 0.549 and the factor loading is 0.577, still it is not falling along with its other relevant factors in Rotated Component Matrix despite being .577. Shall we remove that question or retain it?
Retain it, ifnother items in the Factor have good loadings.
Sir if we take different constructs from different authors in a scale and we don’t take all statements from them of a construct like we delete some which c don’t suit us now in this regard can we use efa?
One can do it and it has been done in existing research but should not he done without justification. Better to do EFA as well.
If in component matrix it show some negative values along with positive value of some variables. What does this mean. Pl reply
This shows that the item is negatively related to the other items.
Thank you sir.
Sir, can you share spss file of EFA you have used in this video, i want this for practice.
I can share another data file for practice. You can email me on kh.fawad83@gmail.com
Isn’t this a confirmatory factor analysis? My understanding was we use EFA when we don’t know themes, and use it to explore/discover them. We then use a confirmatory factor analysis to confirm the items belong under the themes found discovered with the EFA? Therefore, your data should not have had themes at the start, but actually have no themes and items be randomised to the participant?
Thanks for watching. There can be a priori expectation in EFA. There can be predefined dimensions.
Want to know if we can get dimensions using spss
Yes, if you have multiple items you can get its underlying dimensions using SPSS.
What happens if the "KMO and Bartlett's Test" part not shown in the SPSS result?
Have you checked the particular option?
@@researchwithfawad already did. I have 71 items for 4 variables. But if I test each variable separately, the KMO result showed
could someone help explain when the value of chi-square is acceptable ?
A significant p value with KMO value over 0.60 is acceptable.
sir if we take different dimensions from different authors in one questionnaire like for example for
measuring green practices we take
energy, water,air etc
related statements in one questionnaire now can’t we use efa to check whether they correctly measure green practices ?
Yes, you may have different dimensions measured based on different scales.
@@researchwithfawad can we use efa in this regard
Yes you can.
@@researchwithfawad ok thank you
Thank you, prof. do we need to run KMO in SPSS and we are using PLS for the measurement model and structural model?. also, can we run EFA for the existence measurements?. thank you
Use EFA for self developed scale. If scale is already validated, no need for EFA.
JazakAllah Sir, I have some issues with KMO and Barlett's uploading. I have emailed you my data and output. pls help me out.
Check your correlation values. Too high between some indicators.
HELLO PROF., MANY THANKS FOR YOUR WONDERFUL LECTURE.
PLEASE CAN YOU SHARE THE REPORTING TEMPLATE WITH ME.
Hi. You can email me on kh.fawad83@gmail.com and i will share my papers that i used in the video. Will help.
hello professor
i have an item that loads on other component but when i tried to delete it than the values becomes less then 5. What should i do
Is it just this item causing an issue. Any other items.
Further, if you have multiple dimensions, why not check each separately and see what items can be deleted from each.
@@researchwithfawad yes professor I have very only 4 variables with total of 16 questionnaires. After screening and deleting only one of the components from motivation loads on training but if i delete that items it causes more problems to other variables.
Can i email you professor
@@researchwithfawad yes just one item from motivation that is loading on training component is causing an issue so if i report it on my thesis is it ok just that way
If only one item, then you may remove it. You can email me on kh.fawad83@gmail.com
Dr. Fawad, what is the minimum number of items in each components of PCA? Any support please. Thank you
The factor should have at least 3 items.
@@researchwithfawad any paper or book supports this information ? Thank you
Any Statistics book that has EFA or any paper that uses EFA for Scale Development. You may put the following string in Google Scholar to search relevant papers
