- As the OWS movement has helped move the national dialogue to income inequality, corporate power, and economic justice with its chant of "We are the 99%," we received a request from an old acquaintance of Marc's father, Al Levin, who remembered a short film he did back in the mid Seventies, "THE WAY THE EAGLE SH!*S."
He wondered if we could get him a copy of the film so he could show it to his local OCCUPY movement. He felt Al's political rant was prescient and more timely now than ever.
Here it is, Al Levin's "THE WAY THE EAGLE SH!*S - pass it on.
WoWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We all need to wake up and listen to this.
Originally distributed on 16mm by us under the "Haymarket Films" label in the 1970's!

{Marc: Actually, it was I (JC) who was showing this banned 16mm film in the 80's, and a friend of mine contacted you, who had forgotten about this shelved film, and then you put it up on Vimeo & RUclips. The Buffalo Public Library Film director got a letter demanding that he return their 16mm copy due to it's 'inflammatory' nature, but he did not, so that's how I was able to show it for others to seeeeeeee!}jc

This documentary predicted "Soon there will be a fairer distribution of wealth in america". Since this was made the exact opposite happened.

Not much has changed, has it? PS:Last time I checked 'affluence' /the top % of earners in the US begins at earnings of around $300K per year & if you want to look at that as a dividing line then most of us are 'poor.' The country 'works' on the backs of 'The Poor.'Thanks for sharing this 1970's video.
