I think you got a great deal! That Peugeot was just as likely to break/give you problems at any given time as these three are. Also the combined value of these three cars is more than the Peugeot. And it’s terrific content for the channel. All in all a sound decision, well done.
Now then ... what a surprise ... (although I'd happened to see a picture of the ZT on BookFace) and what a deal! The Freelander has quite a RUclipsr history having started at Chops Garage then on to Mad Mike, Boaty and now PN! Chops brightened the headlamps with 'Owotrol' but I guess the effect does not last the same way a proper polish up does. I don't think we've had any for ages and yes! The sped-up footsteps 6:40 still make me smile!😀 What an engine sound from the ZT but I think the 'stepspeed' is the most interesting for me! I've always been fascinated by CVT since riding in my cousins DAF in the mid-seventies!
I do find it weird how there were a load of comments previously from people complaining you had a Peugeot and now there's loads of comments complaining you don't have a Peugeot. 😵💫That KV6 does sound very nice.........definitely more of a smiles per gallon car, but that's what its there for. Great content as always Mr Mustard.
Glad to see you move back to rovers etc.. seemed to be wandering off track a bit j7st need to see you working g maybe a bit more on them being watching since covid an seems a bit less work being done but hopefully back to the old ways as I enjoyed watching the fixes etc..
The 2.5 litre V6 seems the most popular of both the MG and 75 ranges. I'd love one if it wasn't for the fuel consumption, though probably not an issue if run as a second car or a classic for a couple of thousand miles per year. That engine sounds great but I'd probably go for the more boring diesel version.
Hi Paul I watched this video from start to end and when it got to stigburt I got really emotional i love that car alot it may seam silly but I've got quite attached to that car i was luck enough to to picked up in him and driven to PN HQ and loved every moment of it meeting you in person and boaty and Neil and Sophie ment alot to me paul.
Had a few Freelanders petrol and Diesel. There really good when there working. The IRD likes to blow up. When the VCU gives out😂😂. One of the first things to go wrong is the back door. I had a top of the range model it was really nice until things started going wrong then it became a money pit so i fixed it and sold it 😂😂😂. Am not that keen on the MG Zt 190 but Tbh they make good money so are good sellers😂😂
Hubnut drives utter shìt and it's content for his channel. Without that, there isn't much to him. Mustard, however, is entertaining without cars alone.
I'd of kept the Peugeot, far more practical as a family and dog car ,you did not need to have featured it on the channel, just kept it as your family car.
Mg zt in blue or green are lovely looking cars. Keep one sell 2, roll onto the next, id probably keep the zt id say possibly the least commin of them all
Hi Paul I do like your rusty 52 plate I see you doing a 42 with it and replacing the rusty panels with a different color spare panel..But given the cars general condition it be interesting to see what you do with it.. And I am sure Boaty will approve...?
Keep the Freelander. Sell the other two. Hang on for a tidy ZT estate with a diesel.... (Or a V8... ?) Then part ex the 'lander for it. That MG has an inexcusable fuel habit for how well it pulls. My old 3l x type estate gave better mileage even with the lead footed missus terrorising the local traffic.
If boaty loved that rover 25 why didn't he sort the rust out before it got that bad and that engine needs a good clean and service but being a 1.6 and better spec good run around the Freelander 2 are terrible but the Mg is nothing but more problems like you said
Me no comprende. It's 1 big step forward and 3 hops back. Boaty must be well chuffed, a long lasting, reliable, cheap to run, creature comfort packed, decent family car, traded for a load of........... not so great, rusty looking, hard to get shut of, short MOT, cars that nobody really wants. This feels more like a new period of hanging on by your fingernails, I hope I'm wrong on all these pointers. Good luck to you moving forward.
Three cars a big decision to make which one do you keep obviously the Freelander is the most practical since you a couple of lovely dogs and a family and the Rover 25 with a CVT that's a big no no l personally don't like them l and it depends who made the CVT transmission because if it's a JATCO they are virtually designed to fail stick with a manual or normal automatic
I think people expect to much from rovers , I mean let's face it they are just a car , like a mondeo ! No one reviews and loves old mondeos , they just accept them ! But everyone loves to criticise rovers for some reason ??? Yet they are as good as anything else , is it because they are mostly British?! Makes me wonder .
Always good to see some new Rovers on Project Nigel. I hope it works out well.
I think you got a great deal!

The Landlord must be doing Cartwheels 🤸💥👀👍!!
There's nothing in the way now, besides Tom's car.

I know Boaty loved the beautiful red leather interior
Interesting changes! Looking forward to seeing the developments with them
Me too
That's a proper Hawkwind Silver Machine collection.
Glad to see you move back to rovers etc.. seemed to be wandering off track a bit j7st need to see you working g maybe a bit more on them being watching since covid an seems a bit less work being done but hopefully back to the old ways as I enjoyed watching the fixes etc..
There will be plenty of fixing going on. I don't do fixing videos that often though, because they get terrible view numbers
@ProjectNigel shame but still enjoy watching bud 👍
Hello sir captain mustard this is great content
Definitely a fun choice
Quite like that Freelander, but like the ZT even more. Probably quicker than my TF too
Plenty of fun to come, for sure

Great video Paul
Well done paul! You couldnt give me that french piece of poo, for free!😊
Going round in circles these two. But it is rather amusing to watch.
It's all about making videos

Thank you
It's started to look bleak up on the moors Paul, I liked the Peugeot sorry matey.

I am taking a gamble, but I am sure it will pay off.
Yes I watched to the end... Yes I was rewarded for doing so 😂
Jeff off🤣
@@PeterP84 😂😂
Typical of my doings
Paul.... this looks like you've solved a problem only to give yourself the same problem.
That's the point, though - there's no point in paying for a yard if I don't use it.
250th like! I'd keep the freelander over the winter, it'll be perfect. And you can rescue Boaty from the hills when the Peugeot raises its white flag.
You must be CRAZY Paul. !!! You had a perfectly good car in the Peugeot, so why take more rubbish. ?
The Peugeot was lovely, but without a gamble, I cannot further the channel.
Hubnut drives utter shìt and it's content for his channel. Without that, there isn't much to him. Mustard, however, is entertaining without cars alone.
I don’t this channel is for you, tbh
Seems like you really have caught my indecision condition but I know what you could do. Just give me the ZT. Then you don’t have to worry about it 😬
That would be easier than trying to sell it
I'd of kept the Peugeot, far more practical as a family and dog car ,you did not need to have featured it on the channel, just kept it as your family car.
The channel is about my cars, though.
Mg zt in blue or green are lovely looking cars. Keep one sell 2, roll onto the next, id probably keep the zt id say possibly the least commin of them all
I can't help but think I know a fella in the Peak District who might need a 4 wheel drive come these winter monrhs😅
🤣
3:37 Step speed gearbox thing is quite nice. Not as good as a manual for fun though.
I would say not, but it’s fun and they’re British.
Let's hope it's the right kind of fun
Great deal 👌

No, I need to keep this car standard
Not to bad A Shison 25IXL.pity its Silver Paul, and no foglamps..
Well I like the ZT, but woofy woof woof hasn't got that nice window in the back😢
19:09 If that was a ZT-T it's be better, surely? I've only ever driven one and I found it handled better than the 75 without being over hard.
Sorry to say but I think Boaty has had your pants down on this deal 😂
We'll see...
Keep the Freelander. Sell the other two. Hang on for a tidy ZT estate with a diesel.... (Or a V8... ?) Then part ex the 'lander for it. That MG has an inexcusable fuel habit for how well it pulls. V8s are a fortune,
If boaty loved that rover 25 why didn't he sort the rust out before it got that bad and that engine needs a good clean and service but being a 1.6 and better spec good run around the Freelander 2 are terrible but the Mg is nothing but more problems like you said
Ah well, time will tell..........
Boaty. So much to answer for.
There is something that all links these cars that I can't work out. Colour? Quite possibly. Saggy headlining! That's it!
Me no comprende. It's 1 big step forward and 3 hops back. They have a mostly undeserved reputation. People generally poke fun at the safe bet, they're not very imaginative.
ah ye😎😎
Bad idea. I would have had the 2.2 407
But now I have cars to sell
@ProjectNigel very true !!!!
8:40 Suits a dog person AND would be good for dragging stuff about.
22:15 and now a word from our sponsor 😂 well what can i say? Sell all 3 and buy a range rover sport... Just about
I would rather just drive one for 20 minutes 😀
A good friend of mine is encouraging me to buy a Range Rover. However, I’m not a farmer or explorer. M
Or insane, or got a son who owns a garage that's not very busy.
I give up
I think that the ZT is one that Allegroman could work his magic on. Do a deal with him and he'll get it MOT'd and up to scratch ready to sell.😊
The ZT will get really well cleaned, now MoT and up for sale soon.
@ProjectNigel Should fetch some decent money, it's a lovely car.
You sold a half decent car for 3 unreliable yokes. You got done like dom
None of them are unreliable
