The Ghost Stories dub is actually so wild.. Like the entire anime is dubbed as ridiculously as that.
Also fun fact: Apparently the anime is dubbed like that because it flopped in Japan and when being dubbed to English the dubbing company were told "do whatever to make the show sell". I mean, it definitely worked.

Actually I’m pretty sure it was dubbed normally and successful and the main guy who redubbed made claims that it flopped which went viral and they redubbed it into the atrocious version and there we go
in japan they actually redubbed it to match the English and it became a success
