I really like this car! I know I've said it in the comments of another video. I'd love to find one like this. You seem familiar...maybe we met at Radwood LA a few years ago?
Check the light sensor on the top of the dash.. it automatically dims the dash lights when it's sunny...and when it goes out, it can cause all the dash lights to go out...
Paul, do you still own your 88 trofeo? I just brought home an 86 toronado brougham. I live in Michigan not far from Justin. I do not have an operable climate control so I am thinking of swapping out the bcm and or central power supply. Did you have this problem? Look forward to hearing from you. Ren
Hi Ben - Congrats on the 86 Toro! I still have mine. .in fact I just drove it from California to Arizona again and it performed like a champ. My AC works, but I have a problem with some of the interior lights. I swapped out the central power supply, and that didn't seem to help. Haven't found a BCM to swap out yet. I just realized I haven't posted any videos lately of either car.. will have to do an update video!
Very cool. I’ve always loved this era of Toronado and your color combo is perfect.
Thanks! I love the interior color.. something you won't get on newer cars!
This is interesting to watch. I was watching with great interest as you shared what you have done and what you will do. You are making progress.
Thanks! It's been a lot of fun so far!
Wow looking at this reminds me of mine I sold mine due to the anti-lock abs fail I had to push the brake pedal to the floor to stop.
Mine doesn't have the ABS, I think they put it on the year after.. so I am at least in the clear from all those ABS Related problems!!
@@paulzgarage5675 well Thas good ur in the clear mines was an 89 trofeo as well as an 88 olds touring sedan both nice cars but same break issue 🤦🏽♂️

What size alternator did you go with. I went with the 108 but saw they had a 120 (special order and no time)
I ordered a 120 from carports.com www.carparts.com/details/Oldsmobile/Toronado/AC_Delco/Alternator/1988/Trofeo/6_Cyl_3-dot-8L/AC3342288.html
