It depends where I am. Most times, I feel safe leaving my bag and just keep an eye on it from the water. Often I will put my phone and cash in my dry bag and wear it around my neck in the water. I have a link for the dry bag in the description of video.

I would eat that shrimp baked in a pineapple all day, every day. It would taste better in your final restaurant with the crickets though.
