  • My nail gun started leaking air while I was working on a project. In this video I'll show you how I fixed it by replacing the collar.

10 videos 1 hour looking for the part and your video is the only one that names the part. Thank you. Built almost the same. I have a husky. Found the part.

Thanks for the video. I recently had to purchase a DeWalt battery operated nailer when my Porter Cable did the same thing yours did. Will now be repairing it shortly. Thanks for the info. Of course, it did allow me to get the battery operated nailer that I wanted. Now I will have both.

I'm about to throw my PC DA250A in the trash!.. I bought it for $200 about 18 years ago and it has not even shot 1000 nails. The plunger pin is jammed and won't retract. The rebuild parts are discontinued and if you could buy them the rebuild kit would be less than a "throwaway" nailer from Harbor Freight. Except in this case my expensive PC IS a throwaway nailer! Last time I buy Porter Cable!

nice video, but I wanted to say don't oil that gun for the next year. That thing is saturated in oil, and probably why it failed so early. While oil is good for the o-rings it eats other internal parts when over used. Mine is over 15 years old and has finally had a failure. Air tools need 1-2 drops of oil a month during times of constant use. I had a Bostich 2" 18g that was used daily for 12 years production trimming houses. I'd gamble that gun shot millions of nails before it needed repairs. It was well over 20 years old. it got oiled 2-3 times a year. Hell my roofing crew oils their guns once a job if they're lucky.

I bought it in 2008 because of Hurricane Ike, replaced base trim and it has been on a shelf waiting to be used again.
