    What a very very sad day 120 years of Yellow Buses and their last day I pray that the drivers will get other Jobs and thank you Yellow buses for all your hard work over the years. It will never be the same again

      Lovely words Elaine, very heartbreaking indeed for the 120 year old bus company going bust, Morebus has kindly recruited former Yellow bus drivers so not all jobs lost, but very strange tho not to see anymore Yellow Buses on the roads. :(

    Incredible video Bradley, well done 👍 I still can't believe that was it for Yellow Buses so quickly and such a shame it has happened 💛 it seems so strange that there will be no more Yellow Buses in Bournemouth.
    4061 was my last bus I went on, I made sure I got one last journey on the last day. I'm glad Tyler and I caught the last bit of the buses coming back, we got there just in time for 4011 coming back! I didn't realise they were finishing earlier so that was lucky lol.
    Thanks for the clip of us and for the mention 😃 it was great see you and Josh there! 👍💛

      My pleasure Matt and thank you for your kind feedback. it was great to meet you and Tyler in person and you have been in my video twice in a row, obviously last time we didn't speak but you were captured in my bus rally video at Kings Park, myself and a lot of people like you are still getting over the shock about Yellow Buses going bust so quickly, its been very weird not seeing any Yellow Buses on the road, at least the former Yellow Bus drivers got accepted a job on Morebus and Morebus kindly taking over former Yellow Bus routes, oh today the brand New Uni Morebuses have been let out weeks early on the road because of shortages of buses, even the old Morebuses have made a comeback too. I love the sound of 4061! that has an airbrake leek I think, I can do the impression of it.

      @@BradleyTheNo1Champion4variety yes it was brilliant to meet you and Josh at the depot too after watching and commenting on both of your vids! Yeah I was out at Castlepoint today and spotted at least 3 former Yellow Buses drivers driving the old Yellow Buses 2 & 4 routes so I'm glad they quickly got new jobs. I did a vid today from Castlepoint which you can check out if you want, of all of the changes and I saw some of the new Unibuses out as well. It was quite and interesting day with all the changes but still doesn't feel the same without the Yellows! 💛

    Thanks so much for uploading this video. Would have been there myself but had to do a full shift at work. I saw 4011 on the Station Roundabout making it's final journey into town. Fortunately one of the drivers I know very well got a job following the recruitment day. An emotional day for everyone involved as it's the town's buses and that pride our town and Yellow Buses. Well Done for your 120 years of service.

      My pleasure, shame you couldn't come along, but I'm glad I was able to bring the coverage to you. Very heartbreaking indeed to see a 120 year old bus company celebrating until going bust, very wicked! Morebus are heroes for taking over the former Yellow Bus routes and recruiting the former Yellow Bus driver's as well, without Morebus, there would be no buses at all apart from City Sightseeing, so yeah Morebus are heroes.

      No laughing matter, very heartbreaking and shocking too that one minute a 120 year old bus company is celebrating, the next, its all tears and farewell and off into the sunset, but yeah quite a few bus drivers did work on Yellows for years and still look pretty good for their age now, even tho there a lot older now..... cough cough.

      Haha, thanks John, I do my very best making videos as perfect as I can, it felt awesome meeting a BBC reporter off TV. I'm still/ many other people are getting over the shocking and heartbreaking news about Yellow Buses going bust, thank goodness for Morebus at recruiting former Yellow Bus driver's, Morebus are a ever so kind and friendly company in my opinion.

      Yes its very sad and sudden what happened to yellow buses , there is still a trace though yellow coaches are still around under new owners exela ,I'm surprised they haven't coloured their vehicles yellow as apart from green what they have now as I'm sure they have the rights to apply yellows ,, on the other side of the coin morebus did a very good job of covering routes and giving jobs to yellow bus drivers in such a short space of time with an added bonus , thank god they were in the area ,if not then the public transport system would have collapsed, I'm in the bus industry myself

    • @BradleyTheNo1Champion4variety
      @BradleyTheNo1Champion4variety  2 года назад

      Oh wow! I'm talking to someone quite high up in the bus job force then, LOL yes I have seen those Xella buses, I'm surprised they are not Yellow either given the company is classed under Yellow Coaches, ah.. perhaps the reason being green.. is example for going greener, think that's why? A few former Yellow Bus driver's are working for Yellow Coaches but quite a lot of former Yellow Bus driver's are now working on More, More/ Xella aka Yellow Coaches are heroes for recruiting/ giving the former Yellow Bus driver's new jobs, got to be a bargain surely..

    A tragic loss for the whole of the area. The history of yellow buses comes to a very sad end. It's very weird to travel through the town without seeing a single yellow bus. Morebus reacted very quickly to cover most of the routes. Yet another failure of a company that was bought by the employees. It all started going wrong when deregulation of the buses happened , ,then Transdev took on the company from Bournemouth Corporation. It changed from a service for the public into a profit based business. Covid Was The last straw, as it did not have the financial backup of a nationwide operator.

    • @BradleyTheNo1Champion4variety
      @BradleyTheNo1Champion4variety  4 месяца назад

      It was a tragic disaster for Yellow Buses, I remember when it was Transdev then RATP Group, Once the company was on its own without back up, it would start going down hill, sure enough it did, it was disappointing Go-ahead group didn't save Yellow Buses, but during COVID ( the first lockdown) most of the routes were running empty so Yellow Buses managing directors had to introduce an emergency timetable, then no sooner after the pandemic was over, the cost of living crisis with sky high fuel prices which ended putting Yellow Buses into debt, that explains why the firm went into administration then 6 days later, bust 😭😭😭Xelagroup bought/ signed a contract with Yellow Coaches but that never worked out 😭😭it was just unbelievable how 1 minute we celebrated 120 years of Yellow Buses the next we give them a big send off, at least Morebus gave the ex Yellow Bus drivers jobs, only because Morebus wants More drivers, We're very lucky to have Morebus, they have continued on with the rebranded version of Ex Yellow bus routes, everyone has said that Morebus are better than Yellow Buses because 1: they kept having too many bus changes 2: short of drivers and 3: they bought second hand buses/ kept breaking down.

    is it true that someone mistaken a yellow bus for the sun and drove right into it and when he got out his car and said ''I didn't relies the sun was that close to me'' :O
    Sounds like someone Uncle Albert would do and say

    Dorset doesn't feel the same with out those pretty yellow buses filling their roads :(. It shouldn't hit me much because i'm not from Dorset but whenever I visit there, I like to be greeted by bright yellow buses because we don't see them a lot where I live and its going to be strange and sad when visiting there and being greeted with red and blue buses instead of yellow. Your right there George. Yellow Buses shouldn't of gone bust, but thing is, the company was classed as bad management, apparently covid and sky rocketing fuel prices were behind the callopse, Bournemouth still has some Yellow though, Yellow Coaches which Xelagroup hired.
