Great work Jayson, good to see you back into it mate.
Thanks mate.
Make sure you install the rings the correct way up.Too much ring gap is not good too little and the ring will break when the engine heats up.Be careful using the ring installation tools rings are fairly easy to break only spread them just far enough to get the ring on no more.
No1 piston is at the front of the block should always fit crankshaft before piston/rods
Hey mate. I’m loving your work. Do you recon you could weld another two cylinders onto my six for me?? I think you could work it out!!🤣🤣 nice work bro. 👍🏼👍🏼
When you get to the carberator could you do a complete tear down and reassembly? I have a 1965 FJ40L with a non-solenoid Aisan SF-40 single barrel carburetor and would appreciate a walk through.
I sure will mate, I only ordered the full rebuild kit for it the other day.
When installing the pistons. You said you worked from 6 through to 1. Just wondering how you mounted the block the the stand as I’ve only ever seen them mounted from the bell housing bolt holes at the rear of block.
Hi mate, the block is mounted from the rear, on the bell housing holes.
Where you found the piston rings?
Ps my son can read Japanese so if your unsure of writing I can get home to check it out for you.
You might find this interesting. This fella damaged his journal during installation. A simple mistake with serious consequences
Just noticed from JNH that you have been a fan and watching it for quite a while. All good!
