Den and Angie were truly iconic. Not in it long enough at all but long enough to make an impact like no-one else.

Den and angie were the most iconic. Peggy Mitchel was the best. Can’t believe they left out pat and Frank. Never really rated the carters as landlords. Hope kat and Alfie reunite and take on the Vic again.

Angie Watts was the best landlady because she had a warmth which Peggy Mitchell lacked, but was just as fierce.
What about Alfie Moon and Kat Slater?! They owned The Vic for a while also

Den and Angie were the best owners of the Queen Vic as they were there first. Whoever thinks Mick and Linda are iconic are too young to remember when Eastenders was good plus Danny Dyer is just annoying with his hardman accent.
Danny Dyer is not a good actor. Watching him try to cry when he was trying to deal with his sexual abuse was some of the worst acting I have ever seen, even worse than Nugget and Denzel's first scenes. Max Bowden's acting is pretty bad too. I've watched EE since the start and they've always had superb acting so I'm not sure why they can't find better actors these last few years.
The standards in the industry are slipping unfortunately not only that but training to be actor is not only expensive but a lot of these drama schools are cutting corners on how to believe in and bring out the best in the character.
There are only a few first class acting schools which really focus on that and those actors have gone on to the big league

Sharon AND Peggy would have been amazing together. Would love to see Sharon and Grant or Linda with Sharon. Do not really rate the Carters as a whole. Den and Angie MOST iconic. I really want Kat and Alfie back together as I hate her with Phil as they have no chemistry. Not sure I want them in the vic though. Alfie can be a bit much!

Nothing or NO ONE can ever beat the Mitchell's in the Vic. Peggy, Phil, Grant,Sam, Ronnie, Roxy, Archie & original Ben. Those were the days. Late 90s, late 2000s EE

All the memories flooding back. 1998-2003 were the golden years in my eyes. Everyone will have their own opinions but that’s when I think the show was at its peak. From 2010 or so onwards it’s not been worth having on TV it’s been that bad.
Kat and Alfie has the vic back in 2010 and 2011 unfortunately they have lost it because he left Roxy for kat

Peggy and Frank, now I like having Peggy Mitchell but having Peggy and Frank as the owners it's different
Eddie Royale should have been kept on for a bit longer there were a lot of aspects to the character to explore and Michale Melia is a great actor. , Eddies battles with the Mitchell's were heating in the early 90's.. They were starting to explore a lot of darkness with the character. His double ties to the underworld and the police force Should have gone out fighting Grant to the death a rematch in the Vic with Eddie prepared .
Sharon and phil, it's was fantastic to have them in the vic until she landed in there again but with Ian beale
Mick and Linda have brought the vic because they have an family and they have too many traumas. But it's ended because Linda have been sending the divorce papers to mick

Stacy and Eve should own the Vic if they don't bring in new characters. But I would love to see new characters own it. I suspect that is the plan since so many characters were written out of the show -- to make room for new ones.

That was the idea, Phil and grant based on the twins and Peggy based on their mother violet, was a great move for eastenders at the time as the nation took the Mitchell’s to their heart

The Den storyline was ridiculous.. it was self defence and could have all just walked out but instead they covered it up and all got banged up for murder.

@@wizzgamer Maybe you better view that video again. Did you not see the part where he was getting up ready to attack Chrissie again? That's why she hit him with that fatal blow. He got just what he deserved . What was she supposed to do let him kill her instead? She acted in self defense and never should have tried to cover up justifiable homicide.

There are two reasons Ben and Callum would be good landlords. Firstly, the Vic would be back in the hands of the Mitchells. Secondly, there has never been a gay couple to manage it.
