Hey History, Could you hold a steady shot for a few seconds rather then throwing in all these flash edits ? Never could see the complete sequence and forces involved.
@@MTnumber11What sticks out the most is that its technically a tragic moment. Dude wasnt even sure if Axel was alive but he still finds time to have some fun lol
I like Axle's calm, no hype demeanor. I hope he heals fully and has an injury free future. I really enjoy his free riding videos over the distance jumps.
I agree . Also they only showed like one or two camera angles which you know something that big of a spectating event there would be at least six different angles there and that's not even counting everybody with smart phones
Pushing the envelope, somebody has guts enough to try the new. Knievel and his son, Travis Pastrana, Seth, Robbie Maddison, have paved the way for dare devils of the future. It's not stopping yet as more are trying new things, those who live long enough in being able to tell their story
Went to see this live a bit disappointed in watching tv for about 3 hours before something happened no preshow or nothing but it was very exciting when the show began
It did, several years ago with a stuntman and a rocket built buy Evel's original engineer's son using the same blueprints with a few changes to the nose and parachute release. It's on RUclips. Not much publicity.
Rule of Thumb: When sliding, draw a smiley face on the ground before you get up. If the smiley face is 10 feet long you haven't stopped sliding enough to stand.
Cant tell if his back tire is spinning, why wouldnt he check the back brake to push the nose down, specially that far into the jump. Is it because the distance of the jump?
He just learned to backflip but I never seen someone who is that tec on a dirtbike plus doesn't mind catching some really serious are off of a jump he's young he will just get better if you haven't seen him ride check out his dirt shark videos on RUclips
SanFranciscoBay death? You’re joking right. You must not have any clue how much a human body can take. It sucks the guy crashed but barring landing off the landing ramp he shouldn’t be “lucky” to survive.
@@someoneyouknow96 if he were to have bailed off the back a little before landing and slammed his head into the ground 105+mph... yea he's brain dead if not dead, not even helmets can stop that force
@@stealthytiger0182 Nobody said to bail. Axel is extremely talented. Im not sure why he didn't stab the brake to bring the front end down level for the landing.
Anybody who has ever gone big knows the feeling of your arms blowing out on slapdown the human body can't hold on under that much force....however most of us find this out on much smaller jumps that must of been violent.
Hey History, Could you hold a steady shot for a few seconds rather then throwing in all these flash edits ? Never could see the complete sequence and forces involved.
0:37 is the one
I agree. Not everyone has crippling ADD! Give us the long form.
It seems to be some kind of stupid editing method that every show uses now. It totally sucks and ruins the product big time
They're holding onto the good shot until it airs this february
This was a practice jump so nobody was really recording it, this is probably clearer than the actual video tbh
Shouldve watched ronnie macs video on air wheelies first bud

I love at the very end when the bike is still going in veers off to the right like “I am out of here”
Uncle twitch has the medicine for that axel
Ronnie Mac would've made that no problem 😂🍺
Easy for maC
Cut them fenders
Lyon King 619 hahaha I think he had a front brake red flag one it was a four stroke flag two had hella fenders flag three

Yup it was the wind drag on the fenders. If he'd only took a hacksaw to that front fender he would have made it.

That is unbelievable. The bike ride off on it's own.
How about the guy on the bmx rushing to help him took time to pull a trick on the edge of the ramp
Haaaahaaa i just noticed that
The hard part is the next jump. That was amazing.
Your a great athlete mate hope you get better soon . Live to ride brother
This was so gnarly! It takes balls to jump a ramp at 105 mph. Respect! I hope he tries it again soon. It's 2024, the year to break records!💯🤘🏼
Shouts out to that dude standing on the ramp recording and putting the phone down before he even touches the ramp

Bryan Farley that thing has tens of thousands of dollars in it
Lance Kippenbrock I know, Obviously was a joke
Can you play the clip from start till the bike falls from each angle and not edit it and chop it all up. ?
Why not tap the rear brake to bring the front end down ??
Show us how it's done
Keep it pinned while air-wheelie-ing
He did. You can see the front drop a little half way through the jump. Back break doesn't do much when you have all that wind resistance.
I agree, back brake would fix it, i think the colour of the ramp, height of the sun made it hard for him to judge the bikes angle to the ramp
@@xpusostomos if you've ever jumped a dirtbike you'd know that hitting the break usually levels you out
evel would have went clubbing before he went to hospital
Thankfully you seem physically ok. Harder than it looks. 105mph is crazy fast.

Good jumpin axel! You went down like evel...glad your ok..it looked cool af!
mikerafone music I don’t think Evel ever hit a jump close to 106mph

As a pilot it must have been annoying to you having to avoid the ramp.

Brings back the same feelings from watching the Seth Enslow overshoot

Everybody gangsta till Jah starts riding dirtbikes
That’s why ppl tap the rear brake to level out and bring that front end down a bit.
His feet were on the pegs because he was about to land
The only thing I would say. Use a little back brake Mabey. It all happens so fast.
Oh my, the close up of his toes touching his shin yikes... didnt see that before
Yeah, that was gross to look at, his feet bent up way too far.ouch!
So lucky he stayed on as long as he did. The bike ate a lot of that impact.

You should have taped the rear brake to bring it down.
mike schoolcraft don’t think brake tapping works when your in the air that long
Turbo Diesel well deploy the flaps, no flaps? If you are in the air that long, you better talk to an engineer.
Maybe at that speed and air time dident wanna chance endowing
Yeah cause that’s so easy at that speed and height lol.
Ben Williams you never rode a motorcycle. How does the height keep you from hitting the brake? He had a lot of time, fucktard.
Glad you are doing ok man i know that had to do a number on your feet and ankles.
Alpinestars are a great boot.awsome protection
1:37 sweet bunny hop bro

I can't tell, did he use back break in the air? Wouldn't that have helped?
Axel is one of the best ever
Huge respect for having the sack to hit that at that speed. No rear brake tap to try and bring the nose down?
Going that fast = panic = lock-up fear = no brake tap.

457 feet across at 136 mph ...
obviously it was too far
How far was it? Looked huge!
My guess would be 400 feet.
Good try for a long distance attempt. You know now for next time. Keep on straight ahead. Would a small parachute shorten the body crash distance?
Learn to jump before you fly. Hit the back brake to level out. With this new knowledge go forth and try again.
Thedeathfrmabove i think he knew this..the kid has very good knowledge of insane jumps insane jumps
He did halfway through the jump. Hitting the back brake doesn't do much at those speeds because of the wind resistance pushing him back.
Wasn't there some other safer route he could have taken?
