This album deserved a Grammy. The leaked tracks from Digital Distortion and this album really solidified her ability to spit. She can rap, despite what people say. Thanks I Get actually had so much truth behind it. Iggy is far from being a goat, but the way the industry treated her was unfair. This woman occupied the #1 and #2 spots simultaneously (something last done by the Beatles). She got pushed out of the industry because she made a couple of mistakes. What sucks is that some people in this industry have done things that are 3 times as worse as anything Iggy did and THOSE people are still charting #1, but Iggy fucks up once and it's over. I don't get it, and I don't understand why people wanted her gone. She was different from anyone else in the game (at the time she was big), she had the musical versatility and rapped about more than just sex and drugs. There was calculated push by names in the industry to end her career, just like there was with Nicki, but unfortunately, Iggy's career couldn't stay afloat. I wish Iggy had made it big again with this album. In My Defense had so much potential, it literally has everything a good album needs. Her other album End of an Era did too. Both albums had songs that should have been charting. Unfortunately, since she's blackballed by everyone, I don't think she'll ever get big again, but I wish she could have a comeback because she is a force not to be fucked with.
