ProMag also makes a nice polymer 40 round magazine, I have a few of them. As long as you file the edges they fit pretty good with the ATI Strikeforce stock on a Chinese Norinco.
Yup exactly! I had to do the same with mine at the edge a little but great one I have to say.
The proper translation is the simonov self loading karbine. English its more like the SSK then SKS. But its a russian gun so it recevies the russian abbreviations. Its important to remember the term "semi auto" was not around until about the time U.S. got their m16. So around the 1960. Anything pre 1960s will be called a self loading rifle instead of semi/full auto. :)
Ak47 is obviously an exception but that's only because it's heavily used and has been redone alot of times. Ak 47, 74, 12, etc etc. Leading it to adopt the phrase Full/semi auto because it's very much so a "modern rifle" in the eyes of most people.

why buy a 30 round magazine if it only can hold 5 rounds? I know Canada is way more messed up than USA when it comes to individual liberties. Years ago, I converted one of my Russian SKS rifles to the plastic stock with a bipod on the front and a scope. But today, I converted it back to the original parts just because there didn't seem to be any reason not to.

You can drill out the pin and it will hold 30 a lot of people do it but if you get caught you’re fucked

Very nice! If you want to change stock,furniture,etc.I sure hope you keep ALL of your original furniture,and parts,including bayonet! To modify a historically significant artifact for “Fun” is sad and financially foolish,long term!!! Classic example being 1903/1903A3 Springfield rifles that were sold cheap in the 1950s and 60’s ,that were “sporterized” in various ways and quality levels,that today ,if in original condition would be worth 1000.00+ dollars!!! So sad to see historically valuable items turned into junk,because their significance was not appreciated!!!🤔😢🤷🏼♂️😡

there's really no reason to have a 30 round magazine at this time for a civilian. Canada is trying to prevent the type of murder and mass shooting phenomenon that is going on in the USA
