Charles Ives was born in 1874 and died in 1954. During his life, he created some of the most iconic and influential American music. In this video, we'll explore some of the highlights of Ives' life and work, including his work as a life insurance salesman, his influence on Leonard Bernstein, Bernard Herrmann, John Cage, Frank Zappa, Phil Lesh and many more.
