I don’t understand how these guys only have 100k subscribers compared to Rick and Phoenix. Riff and Ricky are top notch. The best imo. People are missing out!!
nowadays subscriber count doesn’t compare to popularity anymore. they’re all really good channels. i would have to say phoenix/rick gained subs at a luckier pace, all channels are top notch
I actually first discovered Retro Rick on Facebook from ads or something, and then discovered Phoenix Resale and PGS. I'd say some others may spend money or just time on other social media platforms which help them get discovered more. All of their channels are great.
My rental store as a kid had those stickers with the instructions, the art on the other side is some wrestler or something and it says "here's your instructions!" Our store just did clear cases for the games you rented and put those stickers on each game case. Big memories on those 😊
That classic Hobbit poster brought back some memories for me. I remember watching that in the waiting room at the Chiropractors office my mom used to work at when I was a kid. Crazy how nostalgia brings back long lost memories like that!

My 14 y o Daughter, is starting to branch out, i got her to play “Scarlet Nexus” on the PS5. She’s loving it so far…❤❤😮😮 Scary thing is I had a job at Blockbuster during the N64 era, and people used to steal “Sculptor’s Cut” all the time. Makes me wonder if they just threw them in the garbage. There were at its height 9,800 Blockbuster Video’s. My store had 15 copies to rent, and usually every 2weeks they sent 5 more to replace those stolen… You would not believe what we were told to do with all the empties that didn’t have games, or movies, systems… ugh I believe PGA 97 or 98 for PlayStation, initial copies had the South Park pilot that Comedy Central saw and was only on the internet. But you didn’t access it through the PSOne. Only accessible by popping it in a windows disc drive

It was good. It managed to capture the spirit of the original but with a more 80s feel. I actually loved 3 too even though many say it is not that great.
I'd love to find abandoned stores or run down or a store that is closing down for the soul purpose of getting new consoles and games, just like you are doing

Also BATMAN Returns on the SNES (Konami) is an awesome Final Fight style game, but the Sega Genesis version is... "Not so good Al". Batman Returns on the Sega CD, on the other hand, is a technical marvel for that. It's how the Sega CD should have been utilized.... Oh? A "retro flippers get a haul" video in mid 2023? They're getting harder to find on RUclips (thankfully). Most hobby stores, even if going out of business, have a handle on their inventory, and they track what its actually worth on the market. Occasionally you'll get owners who don't do this; who get into the business for the love of retro. These same people can't outlast pandemic conditions and have to fire sale to stave off backruptcy - I think this store falls into that category. The owner obviously has a rough idea of what they could get, but it looked like they needed money fast. Under normal circumstances, those NES boxes don't get sold for less than a tenth their market value.
How can this business possibly stay afloat? The only ones coming in here are these nostaligia gamers and collectors... and there's probably like 5 of those.
