You know, Moi was a Bible-thumping president who attended church every Sunday, but that didn't stop him from "dealing with the Kikuyu"! Ruto, like Moi, is hiding in church and once in office, his true colours will emerge. Do you know why the church leaders could not reconcile Uhuru and Ruto? It's simply because the church leaders suffered from conflict of interest having accepted Ruto's "gifts"of money and cars. They could not sit at the reconciliation table when they had accepted a "bribe" from one side.

Ruto sounds everyday like someone who is clutching at any distraction blunt his crushing return on investment. Ruto’s knows that it’s going to be impossible to put a positive spin on his looming defeat, so he is setting his supporters up to reject the election result. To truly appreciate the scale of Ruto’s pain, you need to go back 5 years to when he fired the starter’s gun on the 2022 presidential campaign with a lone competitor - himself. To add salt to injury, Uhuru’s simple, non-confrontational responses make Ruto look very unpresidential.

@Prof Manyora, the Bradley effect you're citing in Mt Kenya could equally work against Raila as much as on Ruto. Raila could yield very little votes in the region than supporters and pundits are anticipating. Azimio strategists would be foolish not to conceive and work around that eventuality. That said, there are two facts/inevitabilities I could add to buttress your calling of the race :
(1) The voter turn out in Mt Kenya will not replicate the super figures recorded in the previous two elections. On educated guess, 75% is the most optimistic Gema turn-out next week. That's still a whooping 10% drop from 2017.
(2) The science of politics is limpid that Raila will not fail to garner at least 25% of Mt Kenya support.
The above factors are critically consequential on numbers' scale. Thus, granted Raila retains over 60% lead respectively in Coast, Western & Ukambani ( polls are indicating that trend) , Ruto's path to the presidency is utterly foreclosed. In plain terms, even if Ruto was to marshal 74% of Mt Kenya votes (a herculean task) , mathematically he still looses the election.

It won't matter if they don't vote. If they do, it will matter which side they break for.
Boss, undecided is a position during opinion polls only. On election day, they change to voters (where they HAVE to chose one of the options) or non-voters, where they remain as national statistics with little bearing to the 2022 elections.
The percentage will be calculated according to the turnout, if only 70% turn out to vote then that is where the matrix begin.

Who are the undecided voters? How do we determine them? Where are they? Can Manyora discuss in depth about this issue of undecided voters?
In Kenya, undecided voters are mostly found in regions with no contestant in the elections.
They usually don't hate one candidate hard enough, and are not excited either about the alternate candidate.
So for a long time, they remain on the fence, not sure which side side to jump to.
But don't worry because all that ends on the election day where they finally have to put ONE mark on that paper.
And suddenly, they cease to exist. I hope this helps.

Herman Manyora is only making conclusions from his reading of the situation on the ground. That does not make him a Raila or Azimio supporter. If I tell you that your team will win, that does not make me a supporter of your team. So on the 10th August, after results are out, the prof will be right here, doing exactly the same thing.
And now I can also ask: Where will you be after Ruto has been announced as the loser in these elections?
