Keep a extra set of keys on you at all times. Never be in the back of a trailer and your truck is unlocked . There are always opportunist around waiting for someone to slip up. I drove for 33 years.
Always lock your truck door. Especially when you are sitting in your driver seat
Thing about load locks. I purchased 2 when I got my own truck. After about 6 months, I had 16 load locks. Even gave away 4 to other non-Prime drivers that needed them. As long as you have 2, should be fine. I have gone from 16 to 4 and back to 12.

Get a pin puller so you won’t have to reach under the trailer that’ll eliminate the possibility of getting grease or dirt on your clothes
Exactly. I have far too many pieces of clothing that are covered in grease
Yall cant pull that pin without getting dirty? Put your gloves on and just pull it. Or do you dump your bags before hand?
Yeah, I bought one and I also use it to pull the old trailers tandem release bar. Comes in handy
If it’s really hard to pull get back in make sure trailer brakes are set backup release the tension. Also for the grease on clothes issues when you wash those clothes get a bottle of regular old coke yes the red and black bottle coke, put everything else you normally would to wash and add the bottle of coke in just open and poor the entire bottle in. It will help take the grease out. I watch my Army mechanic roommate do it for a year in Korea. It works

Load locks are around $36.00 a piece. I've found most of the time drivers don't bother putting load locks on their loads then we get screwed when picking up our loads.
We call them load bars. I was wondering what she was talking about, before she showed them

Get your own load locks. If you have load lock racks get em & lock em in racks so you'll always have em on hand.

as long as you are behind the wheel, * in motion your seat belt is supposed to be on locked in please. donot want you getting hurt in some unexpected way ( on camera ). insurance co. and PRIME may not want to cover what might be considered negligence by driver. especially if a 2nd party were ever injured and decide to sue PRIME. you seem very intelligent and show yourself as a capable driver. SAFETY FIRST. God bless you 🎉

I guarantee that she'd make far more money if she were to run the same way but as a company driver. Lease operators, essentially, pay off the truck for the company but will NEVER actually own it outright. Its sad, I know, but it is what it is. It's a complete scam. I did myself but I had a great deal and still didn't make any real money, but the company did. They always do
