@@gabrieltaubenfeld1he basically said that he has tried but cannot exactly copy the intricacies of shannon’s guitar playing in the song, and neither can the other guitarist. they said nobody but shannon can, because he was one of a kind.
One of my very favorite songs of all time, executed beautifully. Shannon would be smiling to see this lovely rendition of the tune.

Shannon's playing reminds me a lot of Travis Meeks, lead guy for Days of the New. Closest I have heard to that style of acoustic.
It also reminds me of Slightly Stoopid's "Closer to the Sun"

That second verse is most definitely about Shannon's addiction. The friend Shannon wrote the letter to who smile Shannon loved & missed is from the older junkie Shannon to the younger clean & sober Shannon, Shannon knew the difference between drug happiness & living life happiness.
