DLC UPDATE! -- Shortly after the release of this video the project file for this game was corrupted, stupidly, I made most of the levels in around 3 days towards the end of the project. I forgot to commit these changes as I was busy making this video. Unfortunately that means the game in its current state only has 1 level. I recently decided to make the game from scratch, before the whole unity drama, leaving me in a place now where I'm not sure what to do with it.
I really recommend Resist VR then! It's a great VRRPG game with the main mechanic basically being a grappling hook and guns! It is a quest exclusive though...
You're probably already satisfied with the game and not looking for ideas, but I have some I want to share (Mostly as someone who someday wants to go into game design and is interested in feedback). 1) Some of the icicles could look subtly different and if a player grapples it, it will snap off after ~ half a second forcing the player to quickly grapple the right one. 2) You could add slippery ice platforms that players have to land on due to a brief lack of icicles. 3) I don't _think_ the rising lava adds anything to world 2 since many players would likely have an intrinsic desire to complete the level as fast as possible. Maybe the added tension is good? 4) I think a city map would be most ideal for adding verticality. 5) Sound effects would go a long way to improving the "feel" of the game. Bouncy sounds on the mushrooms, for example. 6)Having a grapple in each hand could make the game feel more flexible and fun for players. (yes I'm thinking of spider-man) 7) I'm not sure, but it looks like the grapple is launched based on where you're looking (which makes sense in a game outside VR). I think it would require more skill and be more fun for it to launch based on actual hand position. I guess I'm mainly interested if any of these are bad ideas or simply not at all worth prioritizing over other potential new features.

I didn’t like it personally, it felt clucky to me. I do think it could be good if map design had more care put into it, better movement, and better music. It could be a pretty good game if it didn’t have the downsides.

My dream vr game is a gritty realistic vampire hunter game similar to the world of Abraham Lincoln vampire hunter. It should have pve, pvp, and single player. There should be multiple maps where there’s an ai vampire or player vampire and a team or single person tried to take them down. It’s dark and gritty and cool, and should have a physics engine similar to blade and sorcery. It is a dope idea and could really make a fantastic game, but I don’t think vr tech is quite there, but soon!

You also get a grapple for each hand, so there's all kinds of ways you can get around. You can do a left-right steady swing, or you could grapple the same point and jerk on the ropes to fling yourself through the air! It's super-fun!
Man I love this concept and I know it should be original but I think it would be top tier if you could get that same feel of momentum from playing cluster trucks or what’s it’s name, which I just didn’t feel when watching maybe it’s different when playing and I don’t know how it makes you feel fast either. Any ways enough with the criticism love your work keep it up
i beat all 9 levels, and it was kinda frustrating there isn't enough control over your movement, for example the grapple is weak -you aren't pulled towards what you're grappling at, rather it pulls you for a bit and then swings you, probably since you're using basic spring joints the movement is janky -it takes too long to switch directions, aka slow acceleration -dash isn't strong enough -too slow no support for above 60 hz the music repeats every time you die instead of continuing sometimes it's hard to see where to go -on the 9th level the obstacles are the same colors as the walls -when a wall is one single color, it's hard to see how far away you are from it -on the axe levels, i'd just go over them instead of through them
you make one better for vr and youll have the right to complain for more than 2 lines. This isnt constructive critism its just being negative. You didnt offer solutions or even phrase it in a kind or motivating someone to better it way. Maybe try not being a dck

You should add a boost and or double jump mechanic to the game, for when your in mid air you can boost to get a faster time you should also add sliding and wall sliding

Suggestion: instead of mushrooms in the forest map they should be Lilly Pads, in the desert they should be cactus that when you jump on them they make you fall. Hope you see this :)

Dear barji, I love grapple and my sister, as soon as we got it we fell in love with the game thank you for making this game!
