I studied Egyptology and archaeology at uni, and Bastet is my favourite goddess so I am completely thrilled by this set, I can hardly articulate how much I love this.
Any particular reason the cat god is your favorite? No love for Thoth or AmonRa or Apophis, Horus or Hathor?🤔

I really like this line. I hope that the Horsemen create a Medusa with Greek Hoplite that is turned to stone in the future.

Instant order! This is fantastic, exactly the type of Figura I was hoping for; a mix of history, folklore and action figure.
I love the style and lore of ancient egypt, so this pack is a dream come true...especially all of the accessories.
Hopefully they'll make more Egyptian gods in the future.
Thanks Bill! These are great choices for figures. I was thinking the 2 most toyetic of the Hindu pantheon are Kali and Ganesha. Ganesh being by far the most popular of the Avatars today in modern times. Horus and Set would be great to see someday. It would be mind blowing if they made all 12 of the Egyptian Neters. ✌️☮️

Genuinely one of my favorite parts of FO drops is watching your excitement at discovering what it is. Wholesome content.
Living in a city named after an Egyptian city (Memphis), I had to get this. There is a lot of Egyptian themed stuff here and an Egyptian museum at on of the local Universities that has a book of the dead (necronomicon, but rather an obituary of sorts) written on human vellum.
DorkLair is my go to source for MythicLegions everything reviews - this mystery review format is super fun and really completes the FiguraObscura drops for me. Well done!

Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in! Being an avid fan of the Egyptian Book of the Dead those are rad!
I could see the Retailer versions being painted the same way the Bastet statue is!

Random observation: The elf from the size comparisons looks like he is part of the Rohirrim (with the details on the cape plus the colors). I like that.
OMG, the stone head for Anubis is incredible. I love it so much. Of course, these drop when I'm broke, lol. Here's hoping the second release will have a good color scheme!

Bill, I am starting to think the Figura Obscuras are my favorites as the The 'Horseman treat the subject matter with respect and give due diligence. The newly engineered hand and feet pegs are a god send for your exact reasoning. I jumped on this solicitation, mythology based properies engage my geek. Your comparisons were appreciated. The kitbashes- ghaa!!! Were awesome!. Lucky you to get to have these in hand now I gota wait😁 ✌️

Outstanding Video reveals wish the heads were the same color as anubis . Also a human pharaoh Head & Cleopatra head . Will make great reused of the bodies
Both are beautiful figures, the guys really outdid themselves with this set. My only "gripe" with the set (if you could call it that) is that I wish there had been a fully human head for each of them.
These figures would be a lot of fun to add to an Indiana Jones display or Stargate SG-1 dispay.

I wish the next one would be medusa with both leg and snake options. This line is a really fun line to collect.
I have been waiting for a really solid Anubis figure so this was an instant order for me! The fact that it's a set with Bastet is straight up icing on the cake. Also, I love that you had the section with the swaps/kit-bashing in this review. While I'm not a huge Mythic Legions collector, realizing how effective and easy it is to swap stuff around is absolutely gonna have me looking more closely at future releases for kit-bashing options.

Beautiful figures. Waiting to get mine in hand here soon. I'm hoping we can get some more of the other Egyptian gods in the future, maybe build us out a whole pantheon over time. Even if it just ends up being head/accessory packs to swap on to other figures
Great review. Amazing figures. I’m not in on this set. But I love how the Horsemen can make top notch product that can appeal to more than just action figure collectors. We were in British Museum and my son scoured the gift shop to find an Egyptian souvenir that captures his wonder from what he saw in the museum. He found a similar jackal statue and Horus Falcon. He bought the Falcon but as many he was fascinated. These capture that fascination of the culture and add a fantasy element.

Great Review, These figures look awesome! I really appreciate all the work you do to fully showcase the figures and accessories. I think I want at least 2 maybe 3 sets. I missed out on the morning sale, I was literally about to add a couple figures to my cart when I refreshed and everything was removed from the store. I'll have to be login again tonight when the sale starts up again. I believe I read that the Set has a purchase limit of 12, was there a limit on the All-in?

These were must-have for me, got my order in with the morning drop. Love the colors these have, and I was definitely getting some Stargate feels from these. I definitely see the eventual retailer release of these being in a stone/statue deco, but I very much wanted these fully fleshed out versions with all the colors. Also its a cat and a dog, gotta go for that. Also now that they're properly delving into mythology, one I'd love to see that had some imagery in a previous Figura Obscura release, I'd love to see the Greek god Pan (previously featured in relief on the Masque of the Red Death's ebony clock)
