Carolina grad here, Class of 1985, and Tar Heel fan of 50 years. Some of the best years of Carolina football were circa 1978-82 and 1996-97, when many of the players were cream of the crop guys from NC and VA, with a handful from other Mid Atlantic and Southern states. This was long before the transfer portal. Today’s college football is a different universe, with transfers and NIL money. It’s encouraging that Coach BB has opened up a more national recruiting system. Signing players from the east coast to the west coast is necessary to procure the best possible talent. There are a ton of young football talent in CA alone. I applaud these young players from the west coast who are coming to Carolina and play for Coach BB. Carolina basketball needs to wake up and recruit better nationally. Dook does it. We should too.
As a Cowboys/Tar Heels fan I’m happy that Bill is with my Tar Heels. I want the Cowboys to hire Coach Prime or Ben Johnson but they won’t. They let Washington have Dan Quinn. I wanted Quinn to stay in Dallas, now look at Washington. Smh
Yeah I’m glad to see us getting some solid players but to be a true title contender we’re going to have to start stacking some 5 star studs. Notre Dame has a ton of 4 star guys and we’re able to make the championship game with only one 5 star guy, but you could really see the talent difference in that championship game. Ohio State is loaded with 5 stars and they just basically rolled, the only team that come close to matching that talent was Texas who’s also loaded with 5 star talent, who just bought our only 5 star guy, just saying, we need some game changers to go against those power houses that get top 5 recruiting classes every year.
Basically, 22 transfer starters coming from 22 different college football systems. No chemistry. 6-6 at best, even with the cream puff schedule where they only leave the state of NC 3 times in 12 games. UNC doesn't play new ACC member SMU until 2028 !! How does that happen?
We will be very good on the defensive side of the ball. Bill is a defensive guy. The offense will be tricky. The O-line of course should be good in the trenches but who is the QB gonna be? I see us going 10-2 or 9-3. Losses to Virginia, Clemson and maybe Syracuse .
QB spot is going to be interesting, but I believe that Ryan Browne will be the QB. Young talent that looks to have a lot of potential, and has played in some serious games!

I like the pieces he’s got on the O-line but the D-line kinda concerns me some

@@HeelBrothers call Tom Brady to play for the Heels. Now you'd be looking at a national championship for sure. Just fantasizing..lol
Join Bill Belichick at UNC and you, too, can have a losing record without Tom Brady.
