"When there is music, there is no fighting".
The Pointer Sisters and an Orchestra will put all despots and dictators to shame.
🙏🏼💙🙏🏼
Note, NO auto tune vocals, note, NO earpieces. Note, NO lip sync. Vocals EXACTLY as on the record release. A TRUE live performance, with real quality
they are wearing in ears. At least two of them are from what I can see. It just means they can hear themselves and not get deafened by the crowd. Some artists don't need them and thats impressive but its not a cheat to wear them
@@jeframp3805 correct! In ear monitors are just to hear yourself and other instruments you prefer, it's a very personal mix according to the preference of the performer. It doesn't affect the output hehe
Real Singers! 🙌🏽
Absolutely! If you ask me, I think autotune sucks! I think if you wanna Autotune you should sing a song about a robot for a movie or cartoon! The only person that ever really sounded good in Autotuning was Cher!
See the wedges on the stage in front of the ladies? They are speakers so the singers can hear themselves. Earpieces do the same thing with one additional advantage-they can mute out a lot of the background noise so the singers can concentrate on their own vocals. It allows singers to sing better. With all the background noise and distortion trying to sing on stage they would end up just shouting and not singing. It’s not a form of cheating.
Your bringing me back to those disco days, love the Pointer Sisters
can we talk about how that drummer is keeping the whole thing together? good lawd
❤ sigo disfrutando esta gran presentación en el 2024
The orchestral arrangement is outstanding!
I agree Aaron. They are a great orchestra and the arrangement is particularly outstanding. The girls are fabulous as well however I listened along with fond memories of June.
considering the extended use of synths in the original, indeed it works surprisingly well
I’ll never get tired listening to this song. I remember my sister and I used to dance together to this song in 1986, I was a child then and she was 26. Definitely one of the best female groups ever!
who else is listening in 2020 ? A real inspiring song
Indranil Sen my favorite song the long version it always cures my attitude
Listening in 2022! Jumping with my Pom in my arms. She loves to dance with mommy!
Still listening in 2022 as well
I’ve always thought that The Pointer Sisters performances at MaxProms were their best! Their voices are incredible and the songs really sound amazing with the full orchestra and the choir of backing vocalists. The Pointer Sisters are without a doubt one of the best live performers, they all sing so beautifully and all sound so unique
RIP June......We miss you!
And they still sounded good after all those years of singing! Now I think there's only one sister left? Gosh! What talent! What a gift from God! Jump for my love is my all time favorite song by them!
Issa Pointer (the one in the purple) replaced her aunt June who became ill in 2004 and retired from the group before passing away two years later in 2006 from cancer. Issa's mother is Ruth and her father was Temptations member Dennis Edwards. So music was definitely in her blood and she has the vocals to back it up......
Thank You! May June and Bonnie Rest Well 🙏🏾
Loved Issa Pointer! I loved her energy & fabulous vocals!
Thank You Issa Pointer!
Oh my, that band is AWESOME! Beautiful arrangement. Terrific orchestra!
Kick ass performance and kick ass band. After all these years still amazing. Go
One of my favorites as a kid. Child of the 80’s
Magnifique performance vocal ❤
Amazing performance I mean Ruth Pointer is 70 years old for god sake and she can out sing and dance most artists of today !
Is that SHADE to Katy Perry, Rihanna, Taylor, Miley, Lady Gaga and Adele??? :D
@cjs33139 we seen the pointer sisters here in perth yesterday and RUTH POINTER wow she can sing at that lovely age oh yeah rock on
I Think she was 66 when this was recorded, but your point is very valid!
Real talent always shines through and this is pure talent.

Oh Pointer Sisters you are awesome.
OMG I'm jumping for my love for the Pointer's sister for my Love 💕
Metropole Orchestra rocks!!!! Such a delight!!!
Oh heck yeah, one of my favorite from back in the day. I completely forgot about this song till it randomly popped in my head. I cranked it up real loud and got so excited I started to jump....Note to self I was a early teen back then and jumping was easy, now it was not a good decision, went up came down awkward falling into the table next to the chair got up and stumbled almost crushing the TV and stand and instead went into the wall. Looked like a ghost was kicking my butt. Anyways what a brilliant and refreshing performance and incredible band maintaining a pop sound to it and not to classical, always a energetic song gotta love The Pointer Sisters..P.S. the PS will always jump..
Wow... wonderful song and performance.
These ladies are so amazing! And the orchestra too!👏💯
This is so iconic. My head about to explode.
June was the lynchpin on this one. Her vocals were top shelf and Ruth and Anita look like 33 years old Our generation kept it real
June is dead 2006 the middle bitch june’s older daughter.
Their jumps may not be so high, but my god what a performance - the PS, Emmanuel Shipstone, the band, everyone that was there at the time...I am so envious.
My grandfather really loves music from the 80's. I also love them. Amazing!
Everything with this group is marvelous, voices, expression, and performing infront of audience, orchestra, bravo from Zagreb
Wow, the PS are older, don't jump or sing as high, slower, and thicker since this song came out in 84, yet the energy of this performance is still out of this world
excuse yourself.. I fit in with the older crowd.. and I can still jump as good as I did in the 80s and move just as good.. so watch your age comments
Would you do any better at 70? Just asking. Awsome is the rigt word for this performance!
Hope you are performing as this as 70+!! Honestly!
Still knocking it out of the park...love it
Thank you for uploading this. It's probably the most uplifting versión of this song with the original singers 🙌🏽
Magnificent
Orchestra looks like they’re loving the vibe and tempo 👌🎤🎼🎻🎺
Ooft still uplifting all these years later ..... your eyes.... 🎼🎼🎼🎺🎼🎺🎼🎺
Excellente excellent.l like too much.thank for sharing.
When I try to jump, every football and baseball injury I ever suffered returns, and I have to sit and catch my breath through the pain. But it's as much fun now as it was in '84.
The best live per formens of the pointersisters in the Netherlands!
Sure do miss June
Que emocionante ver y escuchar y también el público bailar este gran trío se extraña ver la gente feliz y disfrutando un espectáculo de lujo
Wow this is bad ass !! What a show.
Listening to this super timeless hit. And the ladies are still rocking
The drummer is "Stacy Henry Jr." Their musical director. His father was legendary band leader "Stacy Henry "that backed Dozens of National Acts in shows in the 60's & 70's with his band "Stacy Henry and the Majestics." Google them to see their numerous connections with Motown's groups and other labeled artist. And the flow of top level musicians from his band to big Acts, as they backed groups and singers like the Supremes, Jackie Wilson and the like during the 60's and 70's. The web page created by Stacy Henry Jr. to honor his father and other band members he was close up under learning the ropes of the bussiness. And who in addition to his being with the Pointers was formally with Motown's Gladys Knight.
Not taking anything away from Issa, but damn I miss Baby Sister June.
She was the stand out 🌟 full of energy and spice

Love this!
Yeah, I'd like to jump😍😍😍!!
Ruth is amazing!
absolutely splendid
I’m really sad I never got to see them perform with Anita. Love them so.
Excelente trabajo. Excelente orquesta. Excelente arreglo. Y que decir de las Pointer .... Vean al público!!!! Jajajaja.
most of the best 80s artists are in their late 70s or early 80s by now and they move better than these new wannabe punk artists of today.. I am in my mid 40s and I can still move as good as I did when I was 16
Grandes cantantes!!!, deberían traerlas a Viña 2020!!!
What a performance! Even Buck Dancer on the piano!
Pure joy!
