Why I Practice Everywhere

- After you develop a consistent practice, one of the many difficulties we run into is staying within our comfort zone. This could be the specific place we practice, the people around us, the environment, etc. If we stay in this comfort place forever, you will find when something disturbs your practice ( and many things will! ), it will be very difficult to continue. So, I make it a point to practice in many different scenarios and with certain levels of discomfort (cold, heat, many people, alone, in gyms, at home, big space, small space, etc.). I have found that this makes my practice more resilient and it comes with me wherever I go. There are times where I need to back up and go a bit more into comforts but there are also times where I can push a little bit further. I hope this helps you develop a more adaptable practice that comes with you where ever life may take you.

I am learning a lot through the videos you share and I'm thankful for that.
The ending 😂👌🏼. Honestly if I saw myself doing walking spine waves in a gym 8 years ago I’d be pulling the same face as people do to me now 😂. Love this video. Some amazing messages and movements!
Excellent words! Words of a wise man who has understood life itself.
Kudos to your wife for documenting these!
Without her, I wouldn't have 95% of the videos on this channel :)
👍
The pandemic was when I did exactly this....ballet is a very confined art. Hard floor is essential. I found some aqua shoes and did exercises on the earth, rocks and dirt. This video is a great reminder that we should place no obstacle before our health.❤
Many obstacles but none have to stop you :)
Absolutely beautiful and inspiring! Thanks!
Have a lot of similar attitudes about the practice of movement. Super good video with a lot of philosophical and practical exploration
I am very happy to hear it was taken this way. I don't just want to add philosophical layers or just offer tutorials on this or that skill but be able to combine these together.
great message🙂🙏 thank you1!!!
Inspiring Thank you
That's great! THANKS
I needed to hear it
Well said.
needed this thanks king
No king, I am closer to a peasant
Thanks Antonio. This video also makes me realize I don't film as much as I should.
It is great to film yourself from time to time but you might be surprised to know that I don't film myself often. I film for my teachers, my students and only if I am trying to put in some very specific details. Other times, I usually don't film. I want to be engaged in the practice and not being overly analytical where it is not needed. You can also see in this video many clips were taken by other people without me even realizing I was being filmed.
Powerful and Emphasising the inherent (of a) Practice. Freedom of being and movement is a decision not a thing considered passive awaitism nor given. It’s achieved only by practicing under which circumstances wherever and however. Keep it simple and be Stoic here.
Stoicism is a good practice at times but at other times it might be the last thing that you need. It is good to express emotion and really feel instead of bottling it up inside and 'grinding' through. This can numb us to our emotions and then we end up with a real big problem.
The real problem for me is to "adjust the practice" if you are following a specific performance/result and not experienced; at least as the common meaning of fitness world like: streght, endourance etc.
But if the aim is "moving" with consistency itself, there is always a solution.
Seeing the options around you is difficult but it can be learned. You can see me in this video working with those specific attributes (such as strength training). I squat with another person on my back, train in the snow, with a fan as external weight, etc. Of course, with a more general perspective to Movement you can truly do anything, anywhere but also if you want to improve a specific attribute you can also find a way.
Hi there! I’ve watched your video on programming body weight strength and have a question in regards to programming. How would you go about programming your leg strength?
Oh boy the privilege of having warm weather all year
There is no such thing as privilege when you are a fan of David Goggins. Only discipline and hardwork! Stay hard brother
