Diver hunting is the absolute best I hunt big water all year and it is the best when the divers arrive and GE are by far my favorite
It can also be very humbling

I feel like he caught on pretty quick. Goldeneye are a tough bird to take down and hit.
We had two golden eyes decoy today. We don’t have many birds around here but when those few do decoy it’s amazing. I’m really digging this diver hunting. Btw TSS #9 crushes divers.

My labs ears perk up each time Cora launches. Fun day right there. Nice work. Super job Cora!
Divers like to skirt alot biggest thing is pulling your decoys pretty tight to you and then run 1 long line straight out and If you're seeing alot of golden eyes like that I would buy a dozen or so and make a small group golden eyes like to sit with each other and seem to decoy better with more golden eye decoys in my opinion
Always love hunting in the cold temperatures
I love killing puddles over small water and geese in dry fields but something about those big water divers is just different

Love me some diver action! Hope to get a layout boat for next season to hunt divers out of. Your Cuz is just excited.... shooting well comes with practice! I've been hunting alomost 30 years now, and I still miss plenty of shots. Great Video!

If they do that take them off the lines make them look like a giant ball
How do you like eating the divers??
Do you have some kind of trigger you use to start the camera that’s behind you or do you leave it on the whole time?

Nice dog work and good stuff... Not into the diver hunting, but if I were... my DOG would be eating good ;-)
One suggestion you should try is to use a jerk cord rig with about 4 or 5 decoys one for each of you, I’ve found it helps pull them especially mallards and other puddlers

Get the dog a Vest , if not you swim out for them .
On divers figure 15 yards from your furthest decoy and that's where they will skirt 90% of the time so instead of lines make a mass that sits sideways and you can pull it in closer and you'll get closer shots. Goldeneye are normally not a working duck

Know you do not want to lose birds, but allowing Kora to work cripples will help her learn to dive for them, which is really cool if your dog will do it!!!
If it was not a goldeneye and not a lake it would be different. Goldeneye can get out there really fast and can be difficult to chase even in a boat
Crippled goldeneye will kill a dog! Keep pounding them until they don't move! Good job man 👍
always thought divers were bad for eating can you do a catch clean cook on some would love to see it

when birds are coming i bump it. It has become a habit just like taking the safety off to shoot

Do you use your 20 gauge to hunt divers josh or the old 12, I just bought a 20 gauge and will put it to use.
