Cheers mate, just purchased one this morning, hopefully it arrives before the Easter camping trip, I have the same swag as you so looking forward to NOT sleeping on the ground 🤣🤣👌👌
bought this stretcher just the other day its on its way for this exact reason. To get the swag off the ground, getting the kings self inflating mattress under the swag (or in it), as it will add another 100mm of padding. Will reply whether it eliminates the bar or just dampens it to be tolerable.
@@thurstytravels2543 I can co firm it helps significantly.. you can still tell there is a bar there as the intended sleeping spots so sit fairly lower than the bar but can easily be slept on without waking up in need of a wheelchair. I only tried it inside the swag on top. Haven't tried under the swag mattress or under the the swag entirely which could be a better option. 👍 oztrail 150mm mattress would be supreme but can't swallow the 200 dollar price difference for 50mm
We are thinking of having this for inside our tent. I noticed that the canvas tensed when you hit the other side with your hand ( at 5:38 in the video): do you feel the other one moving when you are both in bed? Cheers
I'm thinking these under awning outside our tent for the kids. Like under one tent for the kids but they still get a cozy spot to sleep thats just for them.
I had that stretcher, I found the centre bar painful and it over hung to much, end up selling it, looking to get a stretcher with no centre bar and a little bigger
Haven't had time lately to get out with health and starting a new job. Planning on getting out on the long weekend with it.(hopefully) Will post about it when I do.
I did this too as my knees and back don't like getting up off the ground. Super comfy.

Same as you, Getting up from the ground with stuffed knees is what made me get this.
Thanks for the video champ, buying a stretcher this weekend

It's $174.90 ATM 12 June 22.
I guess with $10 off its about same price you purchased for.
Cheers for the vid
Hey mate. Doing the same thing with my Darche 1400. Have found that the corners hanging over the edge damages the PVC?
Not at the moment, but time will tell.
Hey mate, any reason you have the ocky strap along the end? Does that help with sag?
Yes it does. I have it pegged to the ground in the middle and it pulls the sag out of it.
How tall are you? My husband is 6'4" will he fit?
I'm 6 foot. The cot is 6.6 feet, so your Hubbie should be fine.
Any updates mate? How’s the stretcher going?
Haven't had time lately to get out with health and starting a new job. Planning on getting out on the long weekend with it.(hopefully)
Will post about it when I do.
@@thurstytravels2543 thanks mate. I’ve got the stretcher aswell with darche swag I’ve noticed every time I sleep I’ve got a sore back every morning.
Looks good! Does it make a difference with the stretcher being shorter in width with the swag?
Not really, it gives you a way of holding to the ground so wind don't blow it away.
@@thurstytravels2543 Awesome cheers for the tip!
