With the sway bar braces on the legs, is the stretcher much more stable than others like the Darche XL100. I move around a lot at night and the shaking and swaying really annoy me.
I couldnt say for sure @In Pit Lane, its been a while since Ive been on one of these stretchers. The new Series II RS-1S stretcher is out now & I'll be reviewing that probably next week, so I'll be sure to move around alot and give it the wobble test! ~ Lauren
It will fit on, Steve. Both the Rs-1s Stretcher from Oztent and Darche's XL100 stretcher are toughly the same size, the only thing you would be missing form the Darche stretcher is the little anchor straps on the corners. ~ Ben
I think Oztent have focused on durability and stability with the RS-1S stretcher, Craig, hence the steel frame. It's not for everyone though, particularly the weight conscious campers. ~ Ben
Yes, this could certainly happen. Quest Outdoors have actually made a stretcher with a mesh panel to overcome this, it currently isn't part of our range though - questoutdoors.com.au/product/crossbow-swag-stretcher/. ~ Ben
@Liam its a King Single, so only designed for one person. If you are after a stretcher for 2 people you'd need to specifically look at doubles. ~ Lauren
@@SnowysOutdoors Right. bought from Family Tent Camping in Florida. Just frustrated. No good answers. None from Oztent. Something about container ships backed up.
super expensive, extra bulky, takes forever to setup, not even that roomy... I'm not sure why is this a good idea? I don't wanna be just negative here, I'm happy to hear what I'm missing :/ It does look like a cool concept but only if you've never seen any other setup! lol
It's not my flavour either, Jonathon, as I'm a lightweight camper at heart. This is a popular setup though, both with the Oztent options here as well as other swags on stretchers. ~ Ben
@@SnowysOutdoors yeah the oztent itself is pretty cool, I'm looking at the rv-5 to replace the rooftop tent, but yeah for 1 person, there's much cheaper/convenient options that's for sure, thanks for answering btw ;)
@@JonathanAdami I have an RV5, was a step away from my usual lightweight approach to camping but I love it. The simplicity and durability quickly outweigh the size and weight when packed up. ` Ben
@@SnowysOutdoors I like the lightweight approach when I do multiday hiking, but it's nice to have some comfort when camping haha speaking of strenght, I saw the rv5 in the shop and was wondering: can you hang stuff off of them aluminium bars? I'm not sure how strong they are, like if you have a toddler running into them can they be bent? Thanks again
@@JonathanAdami if your toddler hangs on them they will bend. You can hang some lightweight items like a lantern without any dramas though. All the parts are replaceable too, so if your toddler does happen to do your RV tent an injustice, you'll be able to fix it. ~ Ben
G'day everyone!

Just set up this stretcher, with my Darche dusk to dawn 90cm. Fits perfectly and extremely stable and comfortable. Thanks Snowy’s!!
Thanks for your feedback, Matt. Happy camping with your swag and stretcher setup. ~ Ben
you guys are the only ones that are actually mean it when you talk about low prices, wish you had a store in tassie
Thanks @Murtagh653, you'll need to come to the mainland for a visit!!
~ Lauren
Great videos, very good product demo! Well done!
Thanks, Martinho. Happy Camping! ~ Ben
Have one and love it, I have paired with my Darche Ridgedome, slight overhangs with the poles as an 1100mm w swag, but not enough to worry.
I'm glad you like your stretcher, Matt. There aren't many swags that fit exactly but as you mention, a little overhang is perfectly manageable.
~ Ben
For a big bastard like me this is perfect! 200kgs will definitely hold me up off the ground.....i hope! Might invest in one of these.
Yep, it's a sturdy stretcher, Jimbo, more than suitable for those with a big stature. ~ Ben
@@SnowysOutdoors well I bought one off you yesterday so you'll probably get my order this morning!
This looks great and so easy to use and pack up.
It's a big, sturdy stretcher, B L. ~ Ben
Wish more Oz brands would export their camping/outdoor products to North America. I'd love to have this setup with an Adventure Camper trailer.
Looks like a really well thought out, quality product 🐨
@Scott Green No, I haven’t, that’s why I said Looks like rather than stating It was a quality product.
Works great with a Darche Dusk to Dawn King Single - very comfy
Thanks for your feedback, Doug. ~ Ben

@@SnowysOutdoors The Wobble Test. Sounds like a great name for a new show. Or a band.
Yeah mine didn’t do it that easy it’s like somethings stopping it from stretching out fully
Thats unsual to hear! Might just be abit tight cause its brand new.
Common for the stitching and fabric to take time to relax

This is what lm looking for….

Would this swag work ok on a Darche XL100 stretcher? Cheers.

Can i get this in tge Europe ?
We only sip within Australia sorry, high noon thresh. I am not sure what availability is like in Europe though. ~ Ben
Looks fantastic very comfy but 14kilos wow but I would still like one they should try using aluminium

Because there is no skirt on the tent to pull down over the bed, water will build up on the bed if it rains

could 2 people sleep on this?

Hi thanks for your help thanks again for your help with this email
Rain would get between the stretcher and swag, it's a no from me
The floor of the swag is waterproof, Chris, so you'd still stay dry. ~ Ben
No good. When it rains the water runs down the side of the tent and on to the stretcher and pools between the stretcher and tent floor.
But you still stay dry though, don't you? ~ Ben
Bought in May. BACKORDERED. STILL NOT IN USA AUGUST 30. 👎
I assume you didn't order it through us if you are waiting for it in the USA, Jerry. Hopefully Oztent can get stock some over there. ~ Ben
