This is exactly why I have monitors and displays that tell me everything about my electrical system at all times. I have monitors for solar power being generated, monitors for charge current to the batteries, and a monitor for battery voltage and current going into the inverter/accessories. All in all the monitors were less than $40 and are always visible everywhere in the van.
Hey guys, when it comes to the fridge it needs to be able to breathe out of the back.. the catch is the van heats up so the fridges is literally in an oven and trying to cool the inside pumping more heat out into the van from the condenser.

As someone who’s dedicated to experiencing the van life in the future, I really appreciate you showing the difficulties you face and your approach to solving things. So calm and positive. You both inspire me everyday. I was thinking about how I would make money when I pursue this lifestyle. If you see this, I personally would love to see a little “work routine” sort of video. It may be too personal and don’t mind this if it is, but it would really help not only me but I’m sure lots of your viewers that want to join van life. Every time you use the drone, I am amazed at the footage. Has to make filming your hikes so much easier. The Greek Island of Tinos looked amazing...happy the solar panels did their job... can't help but reflect on how much you both have learned about cars, solar, electricity, living in tiny spaces and living creatively....what a journey ...thankful that you lets us get a glimpse of your life each week!
Awww no, so sorry to hear. You may not realise that Mercury is in Retrograde, which is the planet that rules technology, travel and communication. It lasts until July 31st and happens 3 - 4 times a year for about 3 weeks each time. During these times, I had my NutriBullet stop working, laptop charger die, saw an error in my marketing funnel, my car got a flat tyre etc. It's actually a beautiful time to see things that you may have overlooked or even to help you be more aware when things go wrong. Everything is truly working out as there is always a silver lining. I talk more about it on my RUclips channel, if you're looking for more guidance. Love you guys xx

So my 11-year old daughter started watching your videos with me and she loves them. She says you guys are so cute and that you’re gonna be great parents some day..she said you can home school your kids while you guys travel the world. I’m getting a little nervous that she’s getting ideas for herself when she’s older...lol.
So sorry you’re having battery troubles! Not sure if this will work with your system but with ours, we turn the fridge on the coldest setting and leave it on during the day and then over night we turn it off completely. That way it’s only using power when the sun brings in power. And because it got so cold during the day, it stays cold at night.

If you're having trouble with your refrigerator/freezer, it's a possibility your insulation isn't the best and you should replace it with a higher R-Factor inside the walls, door and back of the freezer/fridge. Also, if you're low on refrigerant, your compressor on the back or bottom of your freezer/fridge will run more often and for longer periods of time, which increases the amount of power you use. It can also damage your freezer if this happens too often, might want to look into this. It also depends on if you're using a DC or AC powered device, DC style have way more insulation than AC variants. Some refrigerators/freezers require a fan near the compressor to keep it cool, make sure this runs and isn't obstructed by dust or something else.
