Haha, I can only apologise my friend 😂 If it’s any consolation, I asked Mrs. Wizard to check the video before I put it live. I had filmed it a few weeks ago to give myself time to edit. Mrs. Wizard’s response when she watched the video: “grill needs cleaning again” 😅

Can I keep a pan on top of the manifold to catch the grease?

@@juliosypress2264 good question. You can… in fact some companies sell brackets that attach to the manifold specifically for this purpose: www.lss-mods.com/product_details.phtml/drip_pan_brackets_holds_1_pan (We’re not affiliated with these guys in any way, but they probably are number 1 for MB mods, though if you’re outside the US, shipping is expensive). But if you do, it can mess with the stability of your temps., especially being so close to the heat source. I tend to only cook on the middle shelf, and put a pan directly below on the grates. This can still mess with the temps a bit, but I find with enough probes to monitor ambient and internal temps, this is fairly easy to manage, and saves a lot of clean up 😄

Hi, was originally going to get a pit boss pellet grill but lots of commentary about not much flavour from the pellets so the choice looks like a MB 600. This answered my questions on cleaning. If you was buying today would you still buy one & I also like that shelter you have can they be purchased or is that a self build, I am Lincolnshire based. Thanks Sean

Hey Sean, I definitely have no regrets over the MB purchase. When I was doing my research, I found the same thing as you: that pellet smokers don’t seem to impart as much flavour. So if I ever need a new smoker, MB will be the first brand I look at.
Glad you like the shack, and thanks for your comments! This was a custom build by a company based in Horncastle. They only do a few builds every year, so you might have to wait a little while, but I 100% recommend them, and cannot fault their work! www.madeinhorncastle.co.uk
