With Nate’s following, this might be a turning point for Sunrise. Was there years ago. Raw was describing it nicely. Back then it was unkept and poorly managed. Looks much better now. It has TONS of potential!! Let’s hope this video brings help to the cause. Thanks Nate for posting.
Was there last year and loved it. Definitely keeps you on your toes and we walked away better riders for having ridden there. Plus Greer AZ is a rad little town to chill in.
Rad video Nate! It was a great experience to watch you guys and help show you around Sunrise. You and Chris killed it! Super professional also. You need to come back and visit us in the fall.🤘🤙🏼
Thanks a ton for taking the time to show us around, it made all the difference! We would be stoked for a fall trip to check out some of that moist dirt and changing aspens. Good times friend!!
So glad you put out a video of this park. We are in the process of making a 3 part series of Sunrise Park, with one video already being out. We are Arizona locals and want to put this park on the map even more so.
@@natehills9388 Yes, it's one of my missions, to help put the park even more on the map; and since you did a video there, it certainly helps. I am hoping to take the baton and keep going with it. I know they have a small budget but hopefully with some more exposure they can improve a bit. Again, Thanks for putting your video of the park together.
This is so sick, we can't wait to ride there this summer! We own a ranch about an hr north of there, long term plan is to have all kinds of trails built on it.
That was my first bike park experience a few years ago. Then I stepped it up to stuff in CO. I was able to appreciate the hard work that goes into keeping bike parks up and running. Sunrise has potential and is very raw!
My kinda stuff... trails that don't look made for mountain bikes in some areas. That drop in at the beginning was sick! Nice and raw for a bike park. Kinda like Purgatory in Durango.
@@natehills9388 100%. I only ride hiking trails anymore. The mtb trails are crowded, which is good overall, but not much of an escape from society. I am all for the growth of the sport ultimately. The trail access we have now compared to 30 years ago was once unimaginable in many parts of the country...it is worth getting annoyed by crowds. I will always have my "secret" trails too.
ive been snowboarding sunrise for the last 15 years. i had no idea that the bike park was becoming so developed. its 2024 and i might have to go see for myself.
Surprised you didnt go to angelfire for opening day haha, was gonna go but I know the traffic is going to be insane, so ill hold off going for a week or 2. Might take a trip here this weekend instead, looks far less busy🤘
Man had a blast up there during the MBAA Sunrise Enduro. Would like to get back there and get some redemption on Sticks and Stones. Chutes and Ladders was my favorite trail there. Was was the crew's favorites Nate?
Did not expect it to be this gnarly. Some of those trails are way more advanced than I would ride. Looks sick! Would love to get up there but it's too far from Tucson for a 1 day trip 😥
Awesome video! When you were filming from the front and looking back where did you place the go pro? I like that shot its much better then following when you are the one in front.
Where's a good place to crash out there, I was thinking about doing a ride on my break from summer class to fall class, but I'm on a college budget and it's about 4 and a half hours drive
Looks like some nice trails. I went to their website to look around. For only fifteen trails, $159 for the season isn't terrible but not great. $35/night for DRY RV camping is nuts; for that I would at the very least expect access to fresh water and a dump station. The location isn't bad... about 3.5 hours from the Phoenix area. I'm generally not a fan of Indian-owned businesses, because they usually funnel that money into anti-American activist causes like shutting down our public lands, but some Googling suggests these aren't doing that (yet).
Today is opening day! Definitely put Sunrise on your list, this place is raw and rowdy. Much love!
They have had a MBAA enduro here in the past - some friends said it was a blast.

Unlimited potential up there currently. Thanks for watching 👊🏽
I grew up in AZ and skied here many times. I have fond memories. Stoked to see a bike park now!
This place is so sick, can't wait to get up there 🤘
Sunrise is lit.
Was there last year and loved it. Definitely keeps you on your toes and we walked away better riders for having ridden there. Plus Greer AZ is a rad little town to chill in.
Definitely has its charm. I’ll have to check out Greer sometime.

This was like a strong cup of coffee this morning. Great ride Sir. Thank you for the great inspiring uploads . 💯👍
I am smashing coffee as we speak!
@@natehills9388 No doubt. 😳👍

Also hoping the park grows and succeeds. Such a fun place to ride!

The footage, the editing, the sound almost perfect mtb videos from nate hills on the regular
Glad you like them!
This place looks amazing. Love the “Front Cam Friday” shots too.
Love to incorporate that angle when I can, it gives a super unique perspective.
@@natehills9388 it truly shows how fast you guys are going.
Most beautiful trails!

I like where your head is at! The more trails the better.
Good luck.congratulations
Can't wait to check out the new trails. It feels like Christmas.
Enjoy!
We were missing all those rear shots. They are wild. We can appreciate the hard work needed to stay on the bike. Great place to show your skills.
Glad you enjoyed it

Unlimited potential up there, the future is bright.
So cool to see you enjoying my local terrain. Hope you also got to see the secret trails and other awesome riding in the area.
Definitely enjoyed the area and got a proper tour of the trails.
Wow that’s some nasty chunk! Love it! Great video 😃
Surprisingly technical. We really enjoyed the place.
Nicd film. Looks fabulous! Will put it on the list. Thanks!
Definitely worth a visit.
Great video! I can't wait to get back there. I was surprised too by how much I enjoyed this park. I think I liked it better than Mammoth.
A hidden gem for sure.
Loved all the different angles in one Nate
My kinda stuff... trails that don't look made for mountain bikes in some areas. That drop in at the beginning was sick! Nice and raw for a bike park. Kinda like Purgatory in Durango.
Definitely more natural and less "park". So refreshing to see in today's world of creating sidewalks through the woods and calling them "trails".

Looks less like park trails and more like “some people went this way before”
So refreshing to see. Perfect contrast to the current trend of monotonous flow trails. We loved it.
Great comment I was kind of thinking the same looks like they were cutting their own trails 👍
I have yet to check out Sunrise and this video is definitely inspiring me to do so!
Definitely worth a visit.

Sunrise is a nice change from the crowd at AF on opening weekend. Love that place too, but it will be a zoo this weekend.
Loving the extra shot angles 🤙🏼🤘🏼
Cheers!
Hey Nate you where out in sunrise awesome I'm from there. Keep up the awesome videos 🤘🤙
Thanks for watching Brody, we had really enjoyed the place.
I always forget there are places in AZ with trees that are not Flagstaff
Definitely doesn't feel like typical AZ riding.
@@natehills9388 looks dope!
Spettacolare video 🔝🔝greetings from Italy 🔥
Nicely done! Do they have any green and blue trails for us old MTB guys with knee replacements?
Trails for all abilities up there. Check it out!

Yup, sticks and chutes are fun for sure. We also enjoyed Slippery Rocks and Technical.
You guys slayed nemesis!!!!!! Good job!!
Rowdy little section!
Awesome video Nate 🤩🤘🔥
I didn't know they had one, thanks for the info!!👍🤘
I didn't either, haha. Flying under the radar.
Nice music.
Sick!!!👊
Looks like a good time, heck of a wreck Chris had there! Glad he got up from that.
Sunrise is slept on. I went last summer and didn’t see a single other mtber my entire day out there…
I had never heard of it before this trip! It's amazing.
Well, hope you took advantage of that. Great trails, and all the mountain for yourself. Amazing.
Awesome trails!
Glad you like them!
They'll have to step it up a notch or 2. Snobowl is getting trail put in....
Lot of downed trees can be used to make features and build up berms.
Badass terrain
We were pleasantly surprised. Definitely not what we expected from AZ.
Great 😍🚲
Did not expect it to be this gnarly. Some of those trails are way more advanced than I would ride. Looks sick! Would love to get up there but it's too far from Tucson for a 1 day trip 😥
It's actually pretty close to Tucson. Definitely check it out.
I'm in yuma and I don't mind the drive, if there's camping spots it would be nice weekend for camping and biking
you are incredible at running backwards with a camera
Just getting lucky 😂
Steep. Tech. Oh yeah, gotta get me some of that!
Sunrise delivers!
First place I ever snow skied, 1978.
Nice, I need to check this place out in the winter at some point as well.
Awesome video! When you were filming from the front and looking back where did you place the go pro? I like that shot its much better then following when you are the one in front.
I am wearing my gimbal rig backwards.
Nice 👍
Great video. We'll be up there in July. Looking forward for my first ride at Sunrise ski park. What did you use to film the video?
Enjoy your time up there.
Just imagine if they actually tried to make some features there.
Sweet potatoes.🥳 Hammerheads..
Is that today? Looks awesome
We shot this last weekend.
Where's a good place to crash out there, I was thinking about doing a ride on my break from summer class to fall class, but I'm on a college budget and it's about 4 and a half hours drive
is this Mt. Lemmon? knarley either way....
Nate, why do you ride without gloves? A lot of great riders do it, and I'm wondering why? Better trail feel?
I much prefer the feel. Connection to the bike is everything in my world.
He also wears retro Adidas. It must be for the same reason.
I ride many miles in the White Mountains of AZ ... Trails are "natural" and mostly used by deer, elk, mountain lion, and bear. 😉
Good as it gets. The animals know the lines.
Another one
Awesome video!!! What kind of camera mount are you using to get those rear view shots?
Running my normal rig, just upside down and backwards on my back.
@@natehills9388 Thanks!
How long it took you from start to finish?
Very nice episode FREERIDAY
Apache's Revenge, Bone Rattler I have more names for the trails.
Sound changed (to a better) between 7:49 and 8:41? How come?
I’m not really sure what happened there. GoPro things.
There's a whole lot of bone rattling going on!
Rough as it gets.
So… it’s a little rugged.
I would never downhill without sturdy gloves. In a crash, most people put their hands out before impacting the ground.
Don't crash.

it also goes to feeding poor reservation kids
Ya I disagree with that whole last sentence. Incredibly dumb reason to not like Indian reservations
@@theGiver3 you disagree with not liking indians because they want to close down our public lands?
"our public lands"....lol
NOT, A BIKE PARK! MORMON/NATIONAL/HAWES AT 10,000+ FEET!
It's a very good easy trak, for begiiner_rider, for me, i wanted going in this trak.
Sunrise has stacks for all abilities and is building more as we speak.
