I took a break from banjo for about 6 months. Started a new job working second shift. So, basically I'm always tired and lazy on my off days and devoting my free time to the family and chores and "honey do's" But this is the first lessons I came back to when I cracked open the banjer case. With a little muscle memory I'm back in. Thanks, Jim

    Great! 👍 thanks again.
The way I remember there are no sharps or flats between B to C and E to F. Think Betty Crocker (BC) Eats Food (EF).

@@JimPankey Consider me sub'd too. LOL, Gotta say, Leaning into frame is a bit quirky..... in a lovable way. Keep it up Fuzzy, thanks for giving of yourself, you've taught me a lot. I've been playing by eye and ear near on forty + yrs on now guitar and mandolin, and the primary reason I picked banjo, was because I wanted to be a better finger picker on guitar than a cpl of my brothers. I've never been much for "paper learning" kind of guy, a bird can't read music, but each of us had our times sounding pretty sweet at one time or another.

I love your lessons, thank you for teaching. In my country (the Netherlands) not many people play this instrument. And for me this is one of the only ways to actually learn this instrument. I have no musical background so the clear explanations help a lot. Could you maybe on time do a short lesson on reading banjo tabs and picking patterns it would help a lot

There is no separation ( in between chord) for E to F or from B to C. Just in case you don't already know that. The others have sharps and flats between each of the major chords.

Learning where the root note of each of those chords will tell you why and where to go onto the neck. Once you actually learn the notes on each string.. it makes jumping right to that chord shape much easier.. Just saying!
