If you need to practice parrying in general, I recommend trying it against a water octorock. They fire rocks which you can parry back at them. Much safer than Guardian beams.
This is really nostalgic, you just took the first few steps in the game. Man, I wish i could experience it again like back in 2019. Keep at it, learning the parry timing isn't all that difficult with some practice.
@@not_aeo thank you so much for the encouragement!! this game is... so beautiful. it reminds me of how I felt as a kid playing Ocarina of Time, if that makes sense haha. so glad this could be a nostalgic vid for u!
to be honest, I bought this game way back in 2019 or so. but I went thru a period of housing instability and didn't play it much. I have a few random bursts of playing it throughout the last couple years, but I'm now playing it regularly as of about this summer :>
That is the intended way to beat a ruined guardian, because it instantly kills them and does no harm to you or your equipment whatsoever utilizing a core game feature which is also in ToTK.
@ There was supposed to be an I at the beginning of that comment. I just collected ancient weapons. Had fun doing it and would kill them pretty quickly.

yea, its almost impossible to get a lynel crusher w/o parrying
this is prolly an embarrassing question but what's the Lynel Crusher?
Are you just now playing this?

yeahhhh you might want to learn it for the lynel crusher. you are not going to get a great time with him if you dont parry
what's the Lynel Crusher? been hearing about it but still no clue lol
feeling hella noobish but I am definitely new to this game
@syskaleido its a lynel with heavy weapon it looks like a mace.
Never beat those things by perrying
