Davie. Tied just 3 of these for the end of the wild Brownie season up north. I had fish on both days I tried it and the takes were vicious. Needless to say I'll be tying more for next year. Thanks for sharing!

You such a superb fly tyer! Making those perfect wings sure is a struggle, and when you do it it looks like the easiest thing in the world.
I tie my Invictas with a pearl lureflex body, it has made my days several times by the lake...
    Great job, Davie!

Another great tie Davie, I can see that as a great salmon fly here in Nova Scotia when the water is low, as well as a sea run brown and speckle fly, thanks for the video!

Great Fly Davie will be giving this one a swim when I head to Lough Owel in April will let you know how it goes. Where do you get your hen pheasant for the wing? Any I have been getting lately has been poor quality.
    Thanks Harry

Davie, you say the wings are hen pheasant primary feathers. What do you mean by primary? Cheers Scott

Sorry to be a pest again Davie but where do you buy them? I'm wary of getting them from people who do shooting etc as they may be untreated. I've twice bought goose feathers from eBay, first time they were filthy and I didn't want to put them anywhere near the rest of my tying kit and the second time all the feathers must have been off the same wing so I couldn't pair any.

Hi Davie, I've been given full Jay wings and which of your video's show you using the Jay as a hackle please as I can't remember? I've just watched your Invicta video's as well today. Did you pick your Laft and Right from the same wing please?

      Hi Dewi Jones,
I've attached a link to the video in which I prepare a Jay feather for winding, I hope this is what you are looking for...ATB Davie

Thanks for the reply, your videos are so addictive and informative, please keep posting on youTube. I saw this yesterday Davie. The video I was thinking of was the one where you stripped the blue jay from the feather and used it as a collar hackle, nod a throat.
