the switch pro controllers can connect to PC via bluetooth and test that way, playstation 4 and newer and xbox one and newer controllers are also bluetooth if wireless.

Joycons are often faulty and nintendo likes it make it hard to get a replacement on them. Dont be shocked if joycons you get in returns are their broken ones in box. And one mystery box is basically you can get in a used switch not oled ofc. You have to make a connection with a switch to even add them to the wireless function with separate controller

Switch controllers are not registered to the person who buys them so if mechanically and electronically sound they should work on any switch device anywhere

The switch lite has a controller setting option select it to sync wireless Pro Controllers to it, I have one synced to mine it should also tell you on the box if it connects to the ,switch lite or not as well
