Even though though Gen was sick, they eventually fought. One thing people get confused about Gouki is he is not evil really. He doesn't go around killing random people. He just lives by the code of a fighter. Even when he killed goutetsu, goutetsu had a smile on his face because no one had ever mastered the dark hadou in his lifetime and that was the last thing he saw as he died and he was proud. Gouki is a bad muthafucka, nobody can really beat him except gouken.
