i’m sure xbox is trying to force us to buy the new series x/s, in the last few weeks mine started not reading discs, repaired and everything worked fine for 2 weeks, the other day it didn’t turn on so i ordered a new power brick, it arrived yesterday and worked well, today i booted the xbox up and this happens, no way it’s not related with the new release, i’ve never had problems for 9 years and all of a sudden everything breaks down… plus nothing seems to do the work, i tried at least 10 times to restart the xbox, i resetted it to factory settings, i tried the offline system update but it won’t read the usb key, i’ll keep trying cuz i’m not buying the new xbox for 650€ as here in italy it’s unreliable, but i’m tired of this

@@ChrisBassettTV after a few resets the update began to resume at 60% instead of 75% but it keeps crashing once it reaches the 31% of the 3rd step, do you know if there is a way to let it start the update from scratch? i really don’t want to get it fixed again

Great video. I've had this kind of problem on and off with my unit for years now. I got mine for super cheap in a raffle in 2015 and it was a refurb model, so the fact it even lasted this long despite the errors is pretty impressive in my opinion. The hard reset has been fairly reliable for me, but this time it won't even let me reset. I'm pretty sure it is damaged partition due to a failing hard drive, and found a nearby repair place that can hopefully do the replacement labor for a reasonable price.

Hey Ziggy! Sorry about the Xbox, I know how frustrating it can be. Xbox support recommends that you send it in for repair if none of the other suggestions work. I agree with you, if you just got it for Christmas try and exchange it, hopefully you have the receipt or the store will work with you. Best of luck!

Every time I try resetting my Xbox it gets to 58% and then goes back to the system error screen. I've tried multiple ways of factory resetting and it will not fix. I can't even get it serviced because there aren't any servicing locations near me and Microsoft have removed the page on their website to help. I don't want to send it anywhere because I feel like I will never see it again, and it will be expensive because of where I live so I might as well save to buy a new one. 😢

I had to reset my console after a corrupted update it took 4 tries to work…. Reading some information, someone else had that problem and after 8 attempts it finally reset, so keep trying. You could try using a usb drive: Reset your Xbox One using a USB flash drive
Insert your USB drive into your PC.
Open File Explorer.
Right-click your USB drive in the left-hand window and click Format.
In the File System menu, select NTFS.
Click Start. Do not remove the USB drive.

Hey Ewanb!… it will keep your games and apps.. as for the other stuff, it depends on the game. Online games keep your information stored in the cloud so as long as you have an internet connection those are saved. If you have any games saved/played offline it might delete those.
I do all the steps which gets my Xbox one s to the Preparing this console screen BUT ONLY A SPLIT SECOND and it goes right back to the troubleshooting screen PLEASE HELP

Sorry to hear that, I know how frustrating it is... after mine completely crapped out I went with a pc.. I was able to transfer Epic accounts and kept my skins on my pc version of Fortnite. Hey Dieguito! It sounds like you had an overheating problem… that error code is for start-up problems.. you could try doing a factory reset, but If you can’t even get the system to boot up properly, it’s probably toast and need to replace or send it in for repairs.

When I get to the trouble shoot menu I press keep games and apps and after I press it the console just acts like I didn’t and just buggs out and leaves me on that screen how do I fix
Your might have to do a factory reset… before you do remember your account email and password so you can reinstall it to the console.. let me know how it goes 😁👍

Hey Bertrumes! 🤔… only thing I can think of is if you have an Xbox One S All-Digital Edition, you’ll need to press and hold the Xbox button and the Pair button… otherwise you’ll need to send your system in for repair or replacement.

Quite possibly….. it will remove your account from that Xbox… so you’ll have to load your profile back onto it…do you remember your email associated with Microsoft? Before you do the reset make sure you can access your account

Went from green screen to dashboard that froze to complete and utter code only rubbish. Should I even bother buying a usb at this point to try?

Hey BootCamp! Try repeating the he steps multiple times… it took me something like 7 tries to get the update to download (it kept failing) maybe my internet provider had problems, who knows 🤷♂️. If you think you have exhausted all your options… you could send it in for repair or junk it
It says the console is completely powered off wait 30 seconds and then plug the power cord back in press and hold the pair button and eject button on the console and then press the Xbox button on the console note the Xbox series s and Xbox One s All digital edition do not have eject buttons you can bring the Xbox startup troubleshooter on this console by holding only the pair button
It says continue to hold the pair and eject buttons for 10 to 15 seconds listen to two power up tones a couple of seconds apart you can release the pair and eject buttons after the second power of tone this console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox troubleshooter to reset your console from the Xbox start of trouble shooter select reset this Xbox when prompted select keep games and apps this option will reset the OS and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps if this works you should be returned to the home screen after the console resets your console should function correctly now so this is how you get to the troubleshoot screen so first you can press the eject and pair buttons then you will land on the troubleshoot screen it will take you directly to the Xbox troubleshooter and then select reset this Xbox and then you can keep your games and apps without deleting them troubleshoot continue reset this Xbox restore factory defaults

This is the umthenth time I've tried this method.
I am getting no results. I've had to do it before, but can't seem to access the troubleshooting menu.
Not made of money so I can just go get another one or a new series x, like many have suggested.

Hey Atte! I tried reset multiple times (7 tries stopped @ 50% I think) before it worked. The only other thing to retry would be to use a usb stick to try the update…. Other than that you would have to send it off for repair… the older gen consoles are probably getting to the end of their lifespan, they say electronics typically last 8-10 years before the internal components start breaking down

Hey Jenn! Depends on which system you have… First, locate the Connection button on the console. On the original Xbox One, you'll find that button on the left side of the console, near the disc tray. On the Xbox One X and Xbox One S, the Connection button is on the bottom right corner of the front of the console, beneath the power button.

Disconnect from power for 5 min, check all your cable connections (tv/monitor working?) reconnect everything and try again… it might be toast, you would have to send it in for repair or replace

Probably have to try factory reset… delete everything… just make sure you remember your profile email and password so you can reinstall your profile back to the system… it took me several tries before it worked

Possibly… depends on if you have anything saved locally… most game progress is now saved online and you’ll just need to remember your email/password to reinstall your profile back onto the console. Back when I had a ps3 some god of war game data was stored locally so I lost game saved. Now I play online games MW2/Destiny2/Overwatch2 so all that stuff/purchases/progress is saved online

Electronics have a limited life span, they heat up and the components break down.. you could send it in for repair, probably cost you around 200$…I ended up getting a pc after my Xbox finally took a dump lol.. my buddy sold me a prebuilt for 600$… I really like it, a lot more variety for games and a ton of free to play games, I still use my controller too… if you’re thinking of shopping, here’s my amazon affiliate link for discount electronics, no extra cost for you 😁👍

When i go to sign in I put my password and it starts doing its thing and then I get a white screen it won't go past it idk if its the software or whats going on with it i have tried to reset it. Its a xbox one
Ok got it working did a full reset and made a new account so idk if it was my old account but the new one worked
