I had the privilege of seeing him live earlier this month in 2019 in Chicago. Honestly, I'm old enough that I saw The Beatles, The Byrds, Tom Jones, Frank Sinatra and many others, but THIS was one of the absolute best live acts I've ever seen. You just have this feeling that you are seeing and hearing something so unique and emotionally compelling that you are never going to see anything quite like it again (unless you see HIM again), and your heart says "Oh, I'm SO glad I was here.". I saw him at a nightclub venue that had an audience of maybe 800 people or so. Before he got on stage, Puddles entered from the back of the auditorium and did his best to go up and down every aisle and give a handshake, a hug, a high-five, or a head pat to pretty much every audience member. I mean, really, who does that? And that voice! Good Lord! I was involuntarily shedding tears through several songs.
I'm fast becoming a fan of Puddles; he fills a very real, necessary, and timeless niche in the entertainment world. But anyway, what prompted me to comment was you said you've seen the Beatles and Tom Jones, and God-all knows who all else, and you say, "but THIS was one of the absolute best live acts I've ever seen." That got my attention; that's saying a lot.
From the first time I saw Puddle's audition on AGT I was a fan. This is more than a clown, this is a conveyor of pure human emotion, a man with a talent that very few possess. His voice and his spirit cut straight to the bone and he is able to make you laugh and cry at the same time. You go Puddles, I'll be a fan forever. Oh, and thanks.
You can see him on a 8 year old video of Teatro Zinzanni, which is a restaurant and show place in Washington State. It closed for awhile but then reopened at a new location until all of this pandemic stuff started.
john woodworth, I know this is a late response but 👍I agree. I just discovered Puddles on 6/2/21 and since then I’ve seen a few YT channels that show him without his makeup, costume, and some personal things were revealed about him(like his real name). It seems like the media likes to dig up negative or personal things about performers like Puddles, it really does take the fun out of the secrecy.
I think the fact that he decided to go full time clown is why he blew up so fast. It removes any judgement the audience might have on a person's looks and allows them to concentrate on the wonderful singing and the emotions that go with these songs. I was really happy to see him without makeup in this clip though it doesn't change how I feel about him. I LOVE HIS WORK!
There's thousands of clowns ... and then there is Puddles. He's a genius. His talent is unbelievable. The way he conveys emotion, it's like he is staring into our heart and soul and directly beaming his performance into us. Usually I can listen to music in the background, do something else, with Puddles it's 100% focus on him, he is fascinating and I can't get enough of him.
I've had a fear of clowns all my life, but Puddles, I absolutely love you ❤️ Your talent, emotion, and beautiful heart are such a gift in this world of ours......thank you ❤️
The very best of luck to your friend. He has a lovely voice and is very unique. It was nice to read your tribute to him, as I am sure many, like myself were wondering if he is really painfully shy about speaking. Glad to see he is not. I am sure he will be swamped with requests to perform.. Kat
Gosh I hope he wins AGT and the million dollar prize. He certainly deserves it. I also hear that Michael is an incredibly nice guy in real life as well. I hope to see his Pity Party live some day . . . Go Puddles!!!
Gerald Bergstrom Anything can happen. But I honestly can't see this young lady being worth a million dollar contract. I've watched all of Bubbles shows on YT and he has some very funny performances and I could see him headline. He has already sold out two shows in Las Vegas in September or October. We'll have to see what he does during the live shows. He'll have to step it up a bit and show more of what he can do. Cheers.
Awww, how quickly we forget. Howie's little golden buzzer girl in 2016 beat out some very talented people. She sang her try out song, golden buzzed, (whoopee). Went to finals, sang same dang song and won. I would not be upset in the least if Simon got rid of that buzzer. Grace VanderWaal should NOT have won that contest. So, Puddles, You have a lot of fans out here. We all hope you win BIG!
She sand a different song in every round she was in (its kinda like a rule...) and in the end she beat out a magician act that was "Meh". Sal Valentinetti was the only singer who even made the final 5 if I recall correctly. He deserved to win more than the other top acts but Grace plays an instrument AND writes her own songs, both talents on their own, so for a show with TALENT in the name she deserved it.
My complete and humble apologies to Grace. After many searches I finally found her other performances. I was lead to believe she had only done the one song twice. I will not be making this mistake again. She is very talented and I hope she goes far. Thank you Joshua for the correction. (we only see the performances from youtube, and now I have found the NBC link. Your reply solved a couple of issues.)
I can see that. I just like the way you can tell precisely what he is saying and yet he never says a word. That is an art. I'm a WWE fan and a few years back HHH challenged Undertaker to a match at WM. They both came out to the ring, never said a word, their interaction lasted about 3 minutes or so minutes and yet you knew everything they were saying to each other. It was pretty cool.
Man !!!! Puddles deserves much much more than this talent show.... No auto tune..... Just raw emotion directly from his heart. Love from India brother 😊😊😊😊
America's Got Talent is not about who's the most talented. It's simply about who can be marketed best and make the most money for Simon and other people like him. That's why most of the runner ups on shows like American Idol are the only ones you hear stuff from now. You rarely see material from the winners post-Idol because they were chosen to be marketed and made a few bucks before they faded.
right. & they choose contestants to advance to the next round based on who gets the show the best ratings, not cuz of their talent. how'd you find out about this stuff?
Darci lynn will win, she can sing without moving her lips..she could be a singer or a ventriloquist act...but I'd rather see Mike yung win he's been doin it for years in the subway
With or with out AGT. Puddles is solid GOLD in our hearts. Puddles you rock our world. Your intensity is awesome. May our love be with you. GF1 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😎😎😎😎
NO KIDDING... A national treasure I have down loaded three or four of his songs great combination of parity and serious talent ... A perfect 10 entertainer
I never heard of him before AGT and now I'm a fan. But. If I'm not mistaken, he was a viral RUclips sensation before AGT. My 20 year old son knew exactly who he was, from his wildly popular RUclips videos with Post modern Jukebox. I find it extremely entertaining, educational and touching that he uses English while singing but only gesture otherwise, and he's really good at all of it!
I love Puddles the clown. I usually don't care for clowns, but he is very talented, and very, very funny and interesting. Don't stop Puddles you are a hidden national treasure! We would like to see your talents more often. You're Great! Continue!
Puddles i believe you are a winner no matter what, your talent is rare and beautiful, and unique, it touches everyone, keep doing what you are doing because we all love you puddles, i am glad we had the chance to have met you.
I've seen 4 of his live shows and one virtual. I can say that his shows are some of the best, funniest and just plain enjoyable there are. He always starts off coming in from the back and walks through the audience. At one show there was a 13-14 year old kid dressed up in a Puddles costume. Puddles went out of his way to greet him and do something special for him.
I guess that his not no one bussiness ....cause I felt my Dad in him ....He was a great singer , and a guitarist ... on is way to New York recording music And BANG ! everything went wrong , his cousin who wase a singer too partner to my Dad got into a fatal accident . , then 9 Month after his brother died , only 22 yrs ols both , Then my Dad just well ....chose not to sing for long time , and music was his life ...So do not judge people when you do not know ......P.S Sorry for bad writhing I am Canadian french , Thank You
I just went to his family friendly show in Florida. It was first class. He stayed for pics and autographs for everyone who wanted it. No charge for either. He has an amazing voice and until you hear his rendition of Folsom Prison Blues, or Pinball Wizard, you only know half the story.
@ricardomoralesmassin I don't disagree with you, but I'd like to recommend that you watch this young man from Kazakhstan named Dimash Qudiabergen. He is the whole package! I would have you start at the beginning with his performance of S.O.S. on the first episode in 2017 (at the age of 23) on the Chinese TV show called The Singer. Which is a competition show, but of established, professional and popular Asian singers. Because Dimash sings in Kazahk, Chinese, French, Italian, English, Japanese... 15 languages in all, it's a good idea to search for a video that has English subtitles (or whatever a person's native language might be) I'll put a link to his 5th song of the competition "Adagio" for it shows him playing piano (he plays 7 instruments) it shows his fashion sense, you'll hear his 6+ octave range, his captivating stage presence, his 100+ % passion for and his all consuming devotion to the performance. (which he always displays 100%) All this live, in shows and sold out concerts around the world while also working on his Doctorate in music, film directing, acting, modeling, charity work.... hope you enjoy ruclips.net/video/m41Kafa14ro/видео.html
I've been watching him on and off since his appearance on the auditions. I'm glad you put this back story out here. Makes me think he didn't need the clown gimmick.
I now know why i liked him so. seen him at the playhouse, thought he was to good for ATL.Puddles is a perfect persona for mike. i feel it has allowed him to force his voice to become stronger. Chandelier was most riveting rendention i have ever heard.
Exactly let guy do what he does he makes people happy and that's all that matters there's to much negativity and hate let's just be happy and enjoy what he brings to Americas got talent.
I guess I work too much lol I had never heard of him until just recently. I even found out that he played locally about 3 years ago, I would definitely like to go see him. He is very good and has a wider range than many other artists today

Puddles is too good for Americas got talent to be honest
just like to say love the icon/avatar ...very clever that's thinking outside the box.
I agree
Indeed
not wrong, but glad he didn't win and got ecposure, AGT contracts (IF they win) is god awful, basically signing you brand and life away
i agree
From the first time I saw Puddle's audition on AGT I was a fan. This is more than a clown, this is a conveyor of pure human emotion, a man with a talent that very few possess. You are absolutly correct. Thanks to the guy who performs him. This to me is shear genius. Mute until he sings. Excellent.
I'm actually disappointed that his identity was dug into
It is today's society. They think if you are hiding, you have something to hide! Sad to say anymore.
it's ok. it's not a big deal. have an ice cream or something :)
You can see him on a 8 year old video of Teatro Zinzanni, which is a restaurant and show place in Washington State. It closed for awhile but then reopened at a new location until all of this pandemic stuff started.

Wait a sec... aren't Superman and Clark Kent in fact two different personalities?
I think the fact that he decided to go full time clown is why he blew up so fast. You mean like SIA did !
Dawg is the real deal.
I saw Puddles in London UK in 2018. We even got a meet and greet ,hug and photos with him afterwards. What a great guy Mike Geier is.
Puddles is fantastic! One of the greatest singers I've ever heard in my entire life.
Agree. In 77 years never heard anyone whose sang so perfectly. Every song is a masterpiece. He's VanGoh, Dali, Monet...
I only started seeing his work on RUclips in the last year, and WOW can this guy sing!! 🎵
Keep up with great work Puddles.
I've had a fear of clowns all my life, but Puddles, I absolutely love you ❤️ Your talent, emotion, and beautiful heart are such a gift in this world of ours......thank you ❤️
Loosing my religion is absolutely BRILLIANT thanks puddles for sharing us your talent ...regards from Malta!
A friend and I saw him in concert in Portland, Oregon, about a year ago. He does an amazing show and how he uses the audience is genius.
Been following him for years, now. This guy has true talent, and deserves every bit of success he finds.
The very best of luck to your friend. He has a lovely voice and is very unique. It was nice to read your tribute to him, as I am sure many, like myself were wondering if he is really painfully shy about speaking. Glad to see he is not. I am sure he will be swamped with requests to perform.. Kat

I love Puddles but Grace is a good kid who does a lot to help people. It's a little mean to put her down like that. She's got skills.
She sand a different song in every round she was in (its kinda like a rule...) and in the end she beat out a magician act that was "Meh". Everyone knows Puddles .. He was on Post Modern JukeBox !!!!
How can you not love this guy? There is just something about him that seems so relatable even though I can't put my finger on what it is.
I can see that. I just like the way you can tell precisely what he is saying and yet he never says a word. That is an art. I'm a WWE fan and a few years back HHH challenged Undertaker to a match at WM. GO BLUE FAM
Check out postmodern jukebox puddles has been on there for a few years
I think it's because he has a great voice and tallet and packages it in an original way that adds a bit of mystery that keeps you curious.
Man !!!! Puddles deserves much much more than this talent show.... No auto tune..... Just raw emotion directly from his heart. Love from India brother 😊😊😊😊
love you puddles with or without the grease paint your voice is just spectacular . Your already a winner .
Kay Andrews yeah, not only in American`s idol.. in my country, runner up of idol franchise always exist that the champion. What a shame
right. & they choose contestants to advance to the next round based on who gets the show the best ratings, not cuz of their talent. how'd you find out about this stuff?
This becomes more relevant on Marcelito issue
Haley Reinhart proves your point...and Puddles too of course.
Puddles is a creative genius! The great voice is just part of the creative masterpiece that is Puddles.
pure talent, unfortunately he is on the season that is ruled by the kids...one of the 9 year olds will win....it's a shame..
Jerry Adams that's the unfortunate reality of AGT
that black guy is the best singer on there
dancing/Singing Trump will win lol
Darci lynn will win, she can sing without moving her lips..she could be a singer or a ventriloquist act...but I'd rather see Mike yung win he's been doin it for years in the subway
Exactly, He lost to that no-talent comedian? I quit watching, tired of all the hard luck stories getting through. It's supposed to be about talent.
The cover of Mad World with Haley Reinhart...YES
Love her retro voice🥰🥰🥰
Puddles, he is an amazing singer none the less. May he further his achievements from 2015 and 2016 most nationally recognized.
He is an absolute treasure.❤

Puddles is so talented. I think he's wonderful!!! Always glad to see his uploads!!!
You Rock Puddles And I'm 54 years old and enjoy every song you cover,Thank You For The Happyness You Give Me.

I absolutely LOOOOOOVE his version of Pinball Wizard. Happily going to see him later this year in Orlando.
Puddles is one of the very few (maybe last) pure performers. His act is the whole package.
@ricardomoralesmassin

I've been watching him on and off since his appearance on the auditions. I'm glad you put this back story out here. Makes me think he didn't need the clown gimmick.
He’s one of the greatest male singers in my lifetime!
Just look up the word "original" in the dictionary and this is the guy you will find. Love his voice and his act. One of a kind.
Thank you for posting this.
I now know why i liked him so. seen him at the playhouse, thought he was to good for ATL.Puddles is a perfect persona for mike. i feel it has allowed him to force his voice to become stronger. Chandelier was most riveting rendention i have ever heard.
Never heard of him until now! Really great singer! New fan! Gives clowns back their good name!🤔☺️
Saw Puddles perform his live show years ago in a Manhattan club. He puts on an audience participation show as entertaining as his voice is great.
Thanks for your sharp investigative reporting. I've had my eye on this guy since the Gilligan mash-up.

He already had videos about him online. He was even "YT famous" thanks to appearing in some big channels. This included off-stage interviews as "normal him".
I stumbled upon his videos on RUclips and ...Just Wow!
The man can sing.period
A true treasure. Thank you for making so many smile when you sing.
I've converted into a Puddle's Pity Party Partner. His vocal repertoire is incredible! Anything from mangey dog rap to snobbery laced classicals; he can do it all.
