This was a huge hit on MTV back in 82. I remember watching it before going to work at 11pm at night and working til morning. Very nostalgic memories. Please check out the video and I’m sure the song will resonate a little better. It’s not a hard charging tune that hits you with its rhythm. It’s just a little pop song about an astronaut that would rather be somewhere else.
I remember waiting patiently as a kid for the song's video to play on MTV, it was so cool and weird and the song is awesome. I'm sorry the song didn't sit with you quite as well Angela, but never be afraid to be honest, it's why we're here! Keep up the good work, beautiful xx :)
Ok, follow me on this: The chord progression and the synths in the verses sound very similar to Enya's "Boadicea". And Boadicea is the song that The Fugees sampled for "Ready Or Not". That sample was also used on Mario Winans "I Don't Wanna Know".. That synth line/ chord progression might have inspired a lot of future music.
Hey, l'm an 18 year old musician from Western Australia and this year i completed my diploma of music composition. I released an acoustic song as part of it called Sunday bluejay, where i was aiming to capture Sunday afternoon vibes. It's on Spotify and Apple under my name Callaghan Dunn and i would love it if you reacted to it : ) Cheers Cal
Different Strokes I guess. I really like this. But I may be the Minority on this! A Lot of my Friends were like you. And care for this. Truth is. I think you have to listen to it more than once to develop a liking to it .
The expression on your face says more than words ever could! It's obvious you didn't dig this tune! I've never heard it, and I really like it! It doesn't seem to fit in the 80's genre of 🎵🎶 music! When they mentioned 2010, they probably gave themselves away and are probably from the future of when this song was recorded in 1983! You never know! Goodbye!
I think you might like it better if you watched the official music video. Not saying you'd like the song more or add it to a playlist, but the video completes the vibe of it. It was frequently shown in the early days of MTV.
The 1980's was a strange decade for music. MTV was dominant. It gave us some great music and a lot of clunkers. I don't really remember this song, but it's a clunker 😒🙄
The whole album is worth a listen, Great music 🎶 😊

Hey! The curls are back! Love them! And as always gorgeous!
"Why. Me" is one of those odd songs that I like. I'm not going to listen to it everyday but I get a kick out of it once in a while.
That is my dad's favorite band
Nice pick
I believe this was Tony Carey's project. Check out A Fine Fine Day by him
It was his thing. I remember him from Rainbow.
I got Pink Floyd vibes from this, especially the guitar.
Lovely Angela. This is a good one.

A very good story is a song by Michael Murphy called Wildfire.

Many believe they were heavily influenced by Pink Floyd...I agree.

Yeah just looking at your face, you were not impressed.
If you were the one who requested this. Thank you. Loved this group.
