Disconnect the hose from the evap canister vent valve you put on and try it again if it takes gas then you need a evap charcoal canister

You should watch RUclips videos before you try to fix something, I think it's the roll over shutoff - not sure of the proper name. but try watching more videos and you'll be smarter

You should do some research before you try to criticize.
This part is the Vapor Canister Vent Valve and it is a common part that fails on these older vehicles. It gets stuck closed and will not allow it to vent when filling, thus making it slow to fill and the pump shutting off.
