    The purpose of that long ban was to keep him out, in hopes that he wouldnt be as good anymore.
    Thats why ppl are so mad. He shouldnt so good. He spent 4 years in the dark, kept working hard (and imagine how hard it is to work for 4 years without competing) and when he came back, WOW!

I remember us doing repeat 300m workouts at 35-36 seconds, tough workouts for real. I believe Dennis still holds the NJ state record in the 400m. Dennis ran at Winslow (formerly known as Edgewood) high school where the young famous wrestler Jordan Boroughs is from. I believe that school has a lot of talent but needs a tweak to get them kids into it, it’s a rough town, but jeeze there high school freshmen look like 20 year olds.

  • @biglilrichard
    @biglilrichard 5 лет назад +7

    Him and Tyson Gay are two of the sprinters I respect the most despite the drug bans. I think what people don't really understand is that for a lot of these athletes, they're not really at fault for doping, its introduced in so many different ways, from massage creams to medicine, a lot of its from the coaches, etc. The list of banned substances is ever growing longer and you have people failing drug tests for the most obscure and unthinkable ways, one coming to mind being Asafa powell and his penis enhancing pills. You have all these coaches saying they got supplements to make you stronger, faster, better and they may even have some trust in the athletic community but then you take the test and suddenly you fail. That's more or less what happened with Tyson Gay, he never said it himself being Tyson Gay and his humble self, but sources close to him and who is supposed to have given him the substances have confirmed similar experiences, being approached by someone who had ties with many NFL players saying he has a "all natural" way of improving athleticism.

      this video is actually really dishonest in its presentation of his suspension. Gatlin received a 6 month ban for ADHD medication while he was in college. His 4 year ban came in 2006 - 2010 and it was for a positive test for anabolics. His coach Trevor Graham has been suspended from the sport for life because so many of his athletes got popped for steroids. again, this video implied that Gatlin was suspended 4 years for ADHD meds - that's not true - he was suspended 4 years for steroids.

    This man has the best technique. Usain is just a natural. No shame in losing to Bolt.

    I don't think PEDs or steroids are a problem. The athlete is still having to put in the work. An they make the competitions more entertaining. Seems like the real contest in competition is about the technique rather than athletes physical limits these days. Maybe have 2 versions of completion, one being "enhanced completion" and the other "natural/pure bodied completion". But wtf do I know? I'm simply a viewer with an opinion.

    Not just him. Everyone is on steroids! You can compete at elite level, but you’ll never gonna place on the first 3. I was given great genetics for athleticism, and competed as the highest level as I could, train harder than anyone and beat everyone in school. But when I faced pro athletes, they just smoked me. You need steroids to Compete with. The best! Specially whe it comes to recovering fast to be ready for the next workout. Biologically, the human body can’t recover within 24 hours like these guys do. I know they’ll be people that think otherwise, but I was there once and you just can’t beat these guys they’re on a different level.

    Can someone help me out: Did Gatlin get penalized for testing positive on Adderall or was he positive for steroids then penalized? He says, “when I tested positive for Adderall it wasn’t even on the banned list.” However, it refers to steroids prior to that.

    Or because studies show that the positive gains from steroid use just don’t disappear, it continues to be an unfair advantage.
