  • David from @Off The Grind and I head out to Tahuya ORV Park for a day of off-roading! This was a great trip for testing out the new wheels and tires in an environment filled with mud, rocks, exposed tree roots, and a water crossing!

    Hello. I am enjoying watching your videos. Question: The iKamper SkyCamp Mini 3.0 mounted on your RCI rack, when its closed is it even with the roof of your truck? If not, how much taller is it than the roof? Hard to judge in the videos, it looks as if the thicker end of the tent is a few inches higher than the roof. Thank you so much, keep up the good work

    • @ConquestOverland
      @ConquestOverland  2 года назад

      Good question! When the tent is closed it's roughly 5 inches taller than the roof line which even still dramatically reduces the wind drag and makes it easier to open and close for us vertically challenged individuals haha.

    Dont worry about the damage brutha. I recently went shooting and hitting trails with my brother and my dad and I guess I was shooting my ar and 300 blackout too close to my tacoma now I have a bunch chips on the back passenger fender flares of my truck from the brass casings hitting my truck too hard. Badges of honor I guess haha. Also look at Davids tailgate, it happens. Its all part of the game.

    hey mate, roughly how much space do you have between the top of the decked system and the bottom of your fishbone rack? can you fit a fridge in there on a slide?

    • @ConquestOverland
      @ConquestOverland  2 года назад

      There's about 17" of space between the top of the Decked Drawers and the bottom of the RCI bed rack. It lessens to 15" where the mounting brackets hang down for securing the tent. You might be able to fit a low profile fridge in there, just have to do some homework as to which brand/ model.
      Cheers! 👍

    Awesome video as always, you are truly a master at your craft. Quick question…is there any particular reason you run cross bars on the cab instead of rack? Im on the fence with getting a Prinsu and exploring the pros and cons.

    • @ConquestOverland
      @ConquestOverland  2 года назад

      Sincerely appreciate the support, thank you!
      I run cross bars over the cab simply because of my needs and uses. I knew before hand that I only planned to use the cross bars for holding the awning and the occasional times of a cargo carrier like the Yakima Skybox. Racks are great if you plan to run auxiliary lights, traction board, constant use of cargo boxes, etc. though I wanted the truck to be streamlined as much as possible knowing I had no plans on running those accessories. All boils down to personal preference and uses.
