Thanx!! I'm a esquire lover, You really honor the 50's guitar sound!! 🙌🏾❤️
I just started studying Luther.
I'd heard of him and about him growing up in the country studio. He had one of the first telecasters. Thanks for the video
Great job-sounds like the real thing, might even make Luther smile! THANKS for this👍👍
Will Stadnyk thanks for the wonderful compliment!
Thanks for your channel. I am three years in learning guitar and appreciate seeing and hearing what you have to show us.
This guy is awesome!
Great video, would be very happy to see more Luther content. 🙏
Thank you and I am working on more videos for Luther Perkins at the moment stay tuned
Thank Love it! I would like to build a Esquire too! Sounds good through the Super reverb!
First time I met Creaig FotheringHam and Rhonda Hart , he brought his rhodes piano , les paul and silvertone he cranked to 10 , sounded like Jim Page
Nice job.
Sorry if it's on my end but I can't hear crap lol.
Thank you so much
Good Stuff! Would love some tabs
Turn up the volume please.
Nice
I use flat round strings also
U need to make more luther perkins videos
Fantastic video!
What brand of flatwounds did you use and what gauge?
Thanks these are ghs brand and I believe they are the light gauge flatwounds I will be covering strings in the next video that will be posted soon
What are your amp settings
What settings do you recommend for a fender frontman amp?
Hey it all depends on which sounds of Luther's you're looking for? 50's or 60's? What kind of frontman amp do you have?
@@lutherperkinsesquire I'm going for his 60s sound, and my amp is a fender frontman 25r. Also great video!
@@DarkKnight_4805 Thanks That's a little tough since its a solid state amp it won't be as warm sounding as a tube amp but my guess is try to play around with a few different settings first try (treble 7-8, mid 5, bass 4-5, reverb 4-5) see what that sounds like first and then you can tweak it from there
What brand for strings do you use ?
D’Addario flats usually 12-52’s
What are the setting set at I also use a Fender amp?
Usually the settings are treble 7 mid 5 and bass around 4 reverb depends on your amp because every amp is different
So how would it work on a Fender Stratocaster???
Just use the bridge pickup
@@fabiancrocitti okay. Beautiful. I'm guessing a regular Telecaster would be the same, along with a Les Paul, a Pacifica and other electrics.
@@jrcarchive1932 usually you’d want to use a guitar with single coil pickups. Not sure how well humbuckers will work
@@fabiancrocitti if you swapped them perhaps?
@@jrcarchive1932 that could possibly work!
I dunno why I have never asked this after playing Luther stuff for years. Why did they tune up half a step rather than capo ?
They didn't have capos.
Sometimes they used capos, you can see it in a few videos
@@jrcarchive1932 they used capos quite often
@@killvader1001 Really? I didn't think they had capos back then.
@@jrcarchive1932 they probably did both but there are videos from the 50s and early 60s of Johnny and Luther using them
