  • NEW ALBUM AVAILABLE HERE: links.emi.com/F... ... Ingrid Fliter, born in Buenos Aires and trained in Germany and Italy, has been described by The Daily Telegraph as 'very much her own person, with essential sparks of individual imagination that show a fertile mind as well as a phenomenal technique at work.' Here, in her first recording of Beethoven for EMI, she interprets three of the composer's much-loved 'named' sonatas, all written around the year 1800 and ushering in musical Romanticism.

I love her sound. Is so fresh and melodic. Filled with truth... It's unusual to hear musicians play like this. She is really listening to the music. You can see she really pays attention to the sound, and becomes a medium for the composer, the piano, the music, the emotion and herself.

Concetto molto caro a Beethoven . Complimentissimi

Hello Dear Friend, I fully agree with your statement. I think Ingrid really touches the heart and soul of Ludwig van Beethoven, as few do. She has a passion, depth and a very pleasurable warmth to it; seldom seen. I listen to her every day. And I have to admit that it is refreshing every time. Enjoy the beauty of Beethoven; through the fingers of a worthy interpreter.

These tunes sound particularly great on electric guitar. Specially the fast parts. RG and S Ibanez are great for it. If you love electric guitar. I highly recommend to play these kind of melodies to fully experience the beauty the instrument offers.

She plays it at precisely the tempo Brendel plays it - in fact, their performances on RUclips are exactly the same length. As Brendel is considered one of the foremost Beethoven interpreters of all time, I'll go with the opinion that Ingrid's version is not only not way too fast, it is not even a little bit too fast.
